#747 Sunsh ine In My SoulGod made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light. 2 Corinthians 4:6
Chorus
O there's sunshine, blessed sunshine,
When the peaceful, happy moments roll;
When Jesus shows His smiling face,
There is sunshine in my soul.
There is sunshine in my soul today– More glorious and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky,For Jesus is my light.
There is music in my soul today– A carol to my King;
And Jesus, listening, can hearThe songs I cannot sing.
There is music in my soul today,For when the Lord is near
The dove of peace sings in my heart;The flow'rs of grace appear.
There is gladness in my soul today,And hope and love and praise,
For blessings which He gives me now,For joys in future days.

Luke 14:1, 7-14New International Version
One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent
Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. . . .
When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at thetable, he told them this parable: “When someone invites you to a weddingfeast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished thanyou may have been invited. If so, the host who invited both of you willcome and say to you, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then, humiliated, youwill have to take the least important place. But when you are invited, takethe lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend,move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of allthe other guests. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, andthose who humble themselves will be exalted.”
Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner,do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or yourrich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will berepaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, thelame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you,you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
The Word of the Lord: Thanks be to God!
#326 Blessed RedeemerChrist redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Galatians 3:13
Up Cal-v’ry’s mountain one dredful mornWalked Christ, my Savior, weary and worn;
Facing for sinners death on the cross,That He might save them from endless loss.
“Father, forgive them” thus did He pray, E’en while His life-blood flowed fast a way.
Praying for sinners while in such woe,No one but Jesus ever loved so!
O how I love Him, Savior and Friend! How can my praises ever find end?
Thro’ years unnumbered on heav-en’s shore,My tongue shall praise Him for - evermore.
Chorus
Blessed Redeemer! Precious Redeemer!
Seems now I see Him on Calvary’s tree;
Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading,
Blind and unheeding, dying for me!
