Knockouts are standard for gangingside-by-side or for securing to a wall.

Counterweight kit, specified sepa-rately, is required for all individual free-standing units. Kits includecounterweight and bracket, packagedindividually.

Four glides, standard, provide 3⁄4"adjustability and allow for sturdy, four-point loading.

Fixed shelf with lift door on appli-cable five-high lateral files replacestop drawer and accommodatesstanding binders up to 12"H.

Locking is standard. Select key random or key specific.Note: Lock cores must be specifiedseparately for key specific option.

Integrated drawer slide and singleinterlock mechanism are part of theslide design, providing for quieterdrawer operation and ensuring onlyone drawer may be opened at a time.

Built-in anti-rebound catch pre-vents drawer from accidently rollingopen.

Full ball-bearing drawer suspen-sion allows both the drawer and suspension to extend together.

Side-to-side file bars are standard;two per drawer.

Front-to-back file bars are availableseparately for easy field installation.

Label holder is standard with ex-tended pull; one per drawer.

Replacement drawer fronts can befield installed.

Details

Lateral file construction featurescoach seam welds. Right angle bendof the coach seam makes thestrongest use of formed metal andpresents a clean exterior with no exposed welds.

Progressive slide suspension pro-vides smooth drawer operation.

Steel drawer interiors are pre-painted cinder.

ADA compliant lateral files featurethe choice of rail or arc pull. The lockis placed at 385⁄8"H (above the thirddrawer), making it accessible from aseated position.

Posting shelf, available on five-highlateral file, includes magnetic springlatch to open and close. Posting shelfis located above the third drawer andis 13⁄8"H.

Drawer fronts and lift doors in thetop position on five-high lateralfiles are 19⁄16" taller than the otherdrawer fronts to accommodate the re-ceding lift-door application.Exception: Drawer fronts on modelswith posting shelf are all the sameheight. Posting shelf is 13⁄8"H.

Letter, legal and A4 filing is accom-modated with conventional or hangingfolders.➤See page 5.5 for filing capabilities.

Side-to-side legal or letter filingcan be accommodated with file barsthat ship standard in file.

Front-to-back filing can be accom-modated by ordering the appropriatenumber of front-to-back file bars separately.

Overfiles and storage cabinetsfeature hinged doors.

IMPORTANT: Shelves and wardrobekits are specified separately for fieldinstallation. Shelves are adjustable at2" increments.

Four adjustable glides are stan-dard, providing 1" adjustability.

Connections

Knockouts are standard in all filesand cabinets for ganging side-by-side.

Overfile can be used independentlyor in addition to any appropriate widthFundamental file or storage cabinet.

How to Specify! Specify exact key number for

Locking units can be specified as:• Key random with a black lock core

and black hinged key (KRB); or• Key specific (KS)

Black lock cores with black hingedkeys are identical to the ones usedwith other casegoods and systemsproducts.

Key Random Option:When key random option is selected,key numbers will be assigned arbitrar-ily at the factory with key numbersranging from KSCD001 to KSCD300.

Randomly numbered lock core(s) willship standard along with your orderfor field installation.

With random keying, different furnitureunits may or may not have the samekey number. If you must have all lockskeyed differently or all locks keyed thesame, choose the key specific option.

Key Specific Option:When key specific option is selected,the storage unit will be pre-drilled toaccept a lock core; however, no lockcores will be shipped standard withthe unit. If lock cores are standard onthe unit, the price of the unit is re-duced by the price of the lock core orcores.

You must specify lock core(s) sepa-rately for key specific option; specifyany key number from KSCD001 toKSCD300.

To key all the furniture units in a work -station or department alike, choosethe key specific option and order thequantity of locks needed for your in-stallation.

Standard key that ships with the lockcore can be used for the initial installa-tion of the lock core in the field.

Change key model KCCB1CK al-lows removal of lock cores for keynumbers ranging from KSCD001 toKSCD300.

IMPORTANT: A change key, speci-fied separately, is required to removelock cores in the field.

Master key model KC2GMK will un-lock any lock with key numbers rang-ing from KSCD001 to KSCD300.
