The campus design, interirs, landscape and cmmunican all reect the cre Suzln

values f agility, creavity, adding value, cmmitment, and integrity. With One Earth, the

company wanted to create a brand experience for all stakeholders and visitors that would

reect the glbal Suzln brand. The Synefra team was given a dream, a vision and an idea

which they translated into impressive reality. The One Earth campus is the knledge

and supprt base fr the cmpany’s glbal perans that penetrate 40 cuntries.

Here are sme f the features incrprated in this prject t achieve the presgius

LEED Planum rangs. The features are listed similar t the LEED rang system.

The Suzln prject has a Transprtan Plicy in

place t cater t abut 20% f the building ccupants

and employees can avail the company bus services

in addin t the 200 execuves parcipate in the

carpling prgram and 30 preferred parking spaces

    have been reserved fr carpls.

    Alternave Transprtan has been encuraged

in this project by providing 96 e-charging points to

prmte the use f l eming and alternave fuel

stans like electric cars and bikes.

Various Water Treatment Techniques have been used

in Suzln One Earth prject t ensure general ater

quality. The Rain ater harvesng system helps t

capture and treat and reuse the rain ater n site.

This reduces the need fr ptable ater.

The prject has migated the heat island eect by

prviding 90.99% rf ith SRI cmpliant materials.

The steep slpe rf is prvided ith high reectance

Indiana cpper cated Kalzip Aluminium Prle sheet

hereas the at rf uses hite ceramic les; a

cncept quite en seen in tradinal architecture.

The Slar Reectance Index f these materials is

more than 78, combining envelope performanceith cst eecveness.

The Suzln prject is an excellent example f a building

that is ater ecient. The ater use is reduced, generated

seage is treated and reused n site.

T maximize the ater eciency ithin the buildings

to reduce the burden on municipal water supply and

aste ater systems, flling ater saving xtures

    are installed at site:

    1. L faucets (pressure cmpensated 1.6 GPM

    economic aerators)

    2. Tuchless urinals ith hytrnic sensr (0.22l/

    sec;default ush me f 4 secs.)

    3. Geberit cncealed Dual Flush - half/full (0.8/1.6 GPF)

The on site waste water treatment is being done through

a Sewage Treatment plant located at basement to treat

the asteater t terary standards. This treated ateris used fr Irrigan cmpletely by eliminang the ptable

ater demand by 100%. The treated ater is als used fr

AC make up fr the ater cled chillers.

T reduce impacts resulng frm extracn and prcessing f

new virgin materials, products with high recycle content are

used, hich measure t abut 13.26% f the ttal value f the

materials in the prject. The use f PPC cement fr nn structural

areas ith y ash, use f Rerlled reinfrcement steel, Fly Ash

Bricks, High recycled content carpets and modular ceilings are

als a part f the Green design features.

To support regional economy and reduce environmental impact

resulng frm transprtan, arund 80% f reginal materials

(ithin a radius f 800 km) are used in this prject. Out f this

arund 20% f reginal materials have been extracted and

    manufactured reginally.

Rapidly reneable materials like Tarke Bamb ring, Asis

Bard, Archidply, Interface Carpets, Cn/ Jute carpets ere

used and amunted t 5.89% f the building material cst.

     Materials

    Indoor Environmental Quality

The Suzlon One Earth team has taken measures to ensure a very high level of indoorenvirnment in this prject. Sme f the Green features pertaining t IEQ are listed bel

    • Campus is nn smking.

    • CO2 Sensrs have been prvided in densely ccupied spaces and rkstan

areas t mnitr and cntrl CO2 levels inside the building.

    • HVAC system is designed fr 30% addinal venlan rates required by ASHRAE

    Standard.

    • Low eming materials - T reduce the quanty f indr air cntaminants L

Eming Adhesives, Sealants, Paints and Carpets and cmpsite d prducts

    have been used.

    • 3M Mats are being used at the entrances t prevent dust entering int the

building. Separate exhausts fr the phtcpier rms, separate plumbing at

    selected service rms.

    • Task lights are prvided fr individual cntrl fr all the rkstans and

ccupancy sensrs are prvided fr all the areas such as cabins, meeng rms

    and rkstan areas.

    • Fr Thermal Cntrl penable panels are prvided in the glazing fr mre than

    50% f building ccupants.

    • Als there are remte cntrls fr each Indr VRV unit fr thermal cntrl.

    • Mul ccupant spaces prvided ith mul funcnal light mdule, DSI Smart

Sensr cculux, CEFL PIR Occus sitches.

    • Mre than 75 % f spaces have been designed t get daylight & mre than 90%

f ccupants have vies t utdrs. The rkstans are designed ith l

    parn fr beer external vie.

    • The basement is designed t be an acve part f the structure and nt a dead end

meant nly as a parking area. It huses the cafeteria and the central plaza and

receives useful daylight thrugh punctures in the upper slab. The result f this

approach is a sense of openness and visual connect in the basement, making the

area acvity riented even hile ensuring pmal use f space.

GREEN DESIGN EDUCATION  – Suzln has in place a ‘Green

Design Educan’ plicy thrugh hich green design educan

in given to the new recruits, green awareness program toemplyees as per training calendar & cnnuus Green

Educan Prgrams, distribun, display and disseminan f

    green educan infrman.

GREEN HOUSEKEEPING POLICY –Suzln ith help f CBRE has

in place a ‘Green Husekeeping’ plicy thrugh hich a green

husekeeping prducts and prcess has been implemented.

EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE IN REGIONAL MATERIAL  – The

project has achieved exemplary performance by using regional

materials hich measure t abut 50% f the ttal value f thematerials in the project

CONSTRUCTION ON RENEWABLE ENERGY - The project

sets mre than 50% annual energy cnsumpn used

during cnstrucn ith reneable energy. This is the mst

unique approach taken by any project to ensure dedicated

    cncern tards envirnment.

ZERO WASTE POLICY  - In addin a Zer Waste Plicy has

been frmulated that is slated t becme a very ambius,

cmmied and synchrnus part f Suzln’s alreadyestablished list f Green Crprate Scial Measures. The Zer

Waste Policy will guide people to redesign their resource use

system ith the aim f reducing aste t zer. It ill als help

to make people understand that resources such as paper,

cardbard, fd, etc. shuld be used respnsibly in rder t

achieve a green ce envirnment. The plicy ill prject thefundamental understanding that waste management starts

at an individual level and that the persn generang aste

shuld be aare f its imprtance.

Suzln has idened varius prcesses t recgnize and

develop the human behavioral skills necessary to understand

and appreciate the inter-relanship beteen man and his

bi-physical surrunding. The enre One Earth campus is based

upn the principle f iniang and prmng aareness abut

sustainability. Amng the varius cmmunican strategies

adpted at Suzln One Earth are Green Design Educan,Green Signage, and the Green Tur. These strategies cnsider

the built envirnment in its ttality and create a cnnuus

prcess fr eecvely cmmunicang the gals f scial

sustainability thrugh the building and its users.

CONSTRUCTION ON RENEWABLE ENERGY - Suzln made

an aempt t set the envirnmental impact f energy

cnsumed by the facility, since the Osite Green Per

prduced is mre than 50% f Prject’s Energy Cnsumpn.
