There was a heated debate on various design methods and approaches such as design morphism and responsive design. However, most panelists came to the conclusion that these are really just design tactics and should only be a considerationor option based on user and business goals.

EXPERIENCE IS BRAND

There was also discussion and debate beyondthe panels on the delineation between digital marketing and digital service/experience as well as persuasive design. Digital marketing is focused on driving awareness and acquisition (selling) whereas digital experience is creating great interactions that live up to the brand promise (service).

Experience ultimately is brand, but it’s less about persuasive design and more about serving andfulfilling customer needs and goals.
