It is encircled by five major moun- tain chains and has 20 mountain trails suitable for parent-child outings. Please visit the Taipei City Mountain Trails website at www.ed.taipei.gov.tw/go walking for more informa- tion. In addition, the City also has many riverbank and city bikeways for the public to enjoy carefree bicycle touring. Yangmingshan is Taipei’s well-known backyard. As spring approaches, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms and azaleas bloom resplendently all over the mountains, making the Flower Festival a great annual tourism event. As Zhuzihu’s calla lil- ies blossom, visitors wend their way amongst the flowers. The post-volcanic geography has also created other magnificent scenes, such as hot springs, sulfur vents, cold water pits, etc. The aromatic and mellow Tieguanyin tea produced in Muzha is one of the must-have souvenirs of Taipei. Tourists can enjoy tea and gourmet cuisine at numerous teahouses at the famous Maokong. Three routes to explore this area are recommended: Red cultural area (Zhanghu area): including cultural sites like the Threestone Teapot Museum, the Tea Master Chang Nai-Miao Memorial Hall, and U Theatre’s Laochuan Mountain Theater, etc. Yellow scenic area (Teahouses and old trails area): numerous teahouses along the road will serve as fine spots to enjoy Taipei’s night view. Blue ecosystem area (Caonan area): includ- ing the pothole terrain and the Taipei Tea Promotion Center for Tieguanyin and Baozhong tea, etc. Maokong Yangmingshan National Park eslite Bookstore (Xinyi): 11, Songgao Rd. Taipei City is surrounded by mountains and enjoys a heritage rich in natural landscapes. It is encircled by f i ve ma jor moun-tain chains and has 20 mountain trails suitable for parent-child outings. Please visit the Taipei City Mountain Trails website at www.ed.taipei.gov.tw/go walking for more informa-tion.

As Zhuzihu’s calla lil-ies blossom, visitors wend their way amongst the flowers.

Three routes to explore this area are recommended:

Red cultural area (Zhanghu area): including cultural sites like the Threestone Teapot Museum, the Tea Master Chang Nai-Miao Memorial Hall, and U Theatre’s Laochuan Mountain Theater, etc.

Yellow scenic area (Teahouses and old trails area): numerous teahouses along the road will serve as fine spots to enjoy Taipei’s night view.

Blue ecosystem area (Caonan area): includ-ing the pothole terrain and the Taipei Tea Promotion Center for Tieguanyin and Baozhong tea, etc.
