After

Throat cancer was killing me. How could this happen to me? I eat 90% organic. I consume no sugar. I have an active life style. I am doing everything right. Of course, 50 years of smoking cigars might have a great deal to do with it. Yes, I quit 15 years ago, but the damage had already been done. The slow build up of symptoms didn’t alert me to my situation until I had achieved a stage four squamous cell carcinoma at the base of my tongue. The tumor was so aggressive it grew out of the side of my throat.

That was a year ago. I followed the same protocol we prescribe for our patients, and now the cancer is gone. I contribute our success to a total life style change and Ozone therapy. Because injectable Ozone therapy is illegal

in this country, we

used in other countries to allow us to use it here at the Sentient Temple Healing Center. We have this therapy available here now

for only $30 a treatment. The

Therapy is miraculous. Transdermal Ozone, also known as Hyperthermic Ozone and Transcutaneous Ozone Therapy, is a method in which Ozone is introduced into the body via the skin while sitting in a hot steam cabinet. As the pores of the skin open as a result of being surrounded by the warm steam, Ozone enters the body transdermally (i.e. via the skin).

The Ozone then penetrates the blood, lymph and fat. By allowing Ozone in, and toxins out, via the sweating process that is induced, Transdermal Ozone Therapy is one of the most powerful methods of detoxifying and oxygenating the body in existence. This accounts for the effect that heat stress has in killing cancer. Both heat stress and Ozone kill cancer so this treatment offers the best

opportunity to eliminate cells which are

fermenting sugar anerobically, halt

metastasis and restore healthy aerobic

function.

It’s Your Life. Live It Well!

Tampa Bay Wellness • AUGUST 2014 5www.tampabaywellness.com

We currently have SICK CARE, not HEALTH CARE Last year Americans spent $2.8

trillion on healthcare. That is around $8,000 per person. So does this mean that we are all healthy and living well? Absolutely NOT! In fact, we lead the world in heart disease, obesity, and cancer. Astonishingly, 5 out of 6 Americans will be diagnosed with ei-ther heart disease or cancer. If we were spending the most money in healthcare and had the healthiest people, maybe it would be worth it. But we are spending the most money AND have the unhealthiest people. In a study by the Journal of the American Medi-cal Association, of 37 different developed coun-tries the United States ranked 37th (dead last) in terms of overall health of the population.

SO where are we spending all of this money?

When we are sick or in pain, we go to the doctor. We get prescriptions to help cure and prevent ill-ness and pain. What do we do when that medi-cation has a side effect or no longer works? We go back and get more medications for the next side effect. Americans take up 5% of the world’s population, yet we consume 85% of the world’s medications. You would think that if drugs make you healthy then we would be the healthiest na-tion, and that is far from the truth. We had 1.1 million people die last year because of drugs and these are not street drugs like heroin or other illegal drugs. These are prescription drugs that were prescribed for the right condition, the right amount, the right time. Prescriptions are not the only culprit, a large amount of that money is spent in nursing homes and cancer treatment centers. We have so many sick and ailing people in our population that we are seeing more and more long-term nursing fa-cilities. People may be living longer, but we are not living better. The focus needs to change. We cannot be okay with a health system that has no regard for health. It is time to take the focus off of SICK care and focus on health.

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH

A lot of people believe that genetics are to blame for the disease we see in our society today, but only 2-5% of degenerative illnesses are actually caused by genetics. So that leaves 95-98% of dis-ease that is caused by lifestyle. The foods we eat, the drinks we drink, and the habits we live are the main cause of the increase in disease. Our offices are focused on HEALTH care. We recognize that health is not just about what you eat and whether or not you exercise. Our of-fices implement maximized mind, maximized nutrition, maximized nerve supply, maximized

oxygen and lean muscle. We personalize each care plan and work with our patients to establish health and wellness goals that create a healthy lifestyle that maximizes each patients’ quality of life. We offer full health and wellness care that ex-cludes drugs, shots, and harmful combinations or both. Our goal is to make sure our patients live the healthiest life possible.

BUT WHAT TRULY SETS US APART FROM ALL OTHER WELLNESS CLINICS

It is our dedication to whole health wellness. Our patients are not just adjusted and sent on their way. We spend time focusing on spinal COR-RECTION not just spinal alignment. By pro-viding our patients with in office and at home stretching, strengthening, and lifestyle changes, our patients are the healthiest they can possibly be without introducing toxins. It is truly about balance and focus on health.

What does CORRECTIVE CARE mean?

If your spine and Central Nervous System are “abnormal,” there is a need for corrective chi-ropractic care. This type of care will restore “normal” spinal position and alignment. By properly restoring normal curves to the spine and aligning the vertebrae, it will eliminate in-terferences allowing your body to function and heal “normally.” This optimizes your chance to live at 100% of your body’s peak performance. A healthy spine will allow your body to express a normal body temperature, a normal blood pres-sure, and other measureable norms for the spine itself. There are four primary curves of the spine in the lateral (side) view of the spine. These curves give the spine strength, stability, and flexibility. Any loss of integrity of these curves can affect the function of the nervous system as this is the basis of evolution. These misalignments can put further stress on several aspects of the spine in-cluding the soft tissue structures, muscles, liga-ments and discs that support the spine and its normal function. Much like braces straighten teeth, it is our aim to restore the proper alignment of your spine. Recent research allows us to now know the mea-surements and proper alignment of your spine. There is a normal body temperature, a nor-mal blood pressure, and there are measureable norms for the spine. We take the necessary steps to restore the regions of abnormal alignment to normal through whole health wellness. Obtaining the level of normal alignment al-lows us to cure and prevent disease that other-wise leads to a lifetime of harmful shots and pills. Take the next step and allow your body to function at 100% of peak performance.

How Much Longer Will You Be Okay With SICK CARE!??!

With all of the changes in insurance, making your HEALTH CARE work for you is more important than ever.

he tears are falling once more and it just took two glasses of wine to make it happen. I am on my way home to Florida from England, following a visit with my

daughter, Maiteland, and her two children. Next time I write a story on an airplane I will probably becomingbackfromvisitingtheminSpain. There’s no getting around it; no matter how many miles apart we live, my daughter’s life is definitelyenmeshedinmine.Herchildrenaremyheartbeatasmuchassheis.AndIjustleftthembehind… again. I was with my daughter and her kids in Englandforfifteendaysanditwaslikeridingamerry-go-roundtheentiretime.Or,tobemorehonest, a roller coaster, with emotions going round and round, up and down, and a little bit out of control. I try hard to stay strong. That’s just how I am; I want to be strong. I have been taught to depend on myself and that is what I do. But emotionally-charged situations can sometimes dredge up deep-seated memories and what my daughter is going through right now is like watching a rerun of my own life’s movie, roller coaster and all. Maiteland is the same age as me in my flash-back and, like me, is getting ready for a divorce. The breakup involves two small children and my heart is full of sorrow because I already know what this journey is like. I don’t tend to dwell on the past but, because this is my daughter, the memories come back in floods. Mygrandson,Joshua, isfiveyearsoldandBella, my granddaughter, is seventeen months.

WhenIdivorcedmysons’father, myboyswerenot as young as that. My older son was nine and my youngest was seven, almost eight. They were twenty-one months apart in age. That was one stage of my life; then after another nine years or so, I divorced my daughter’s father and left for Florida. Maiteland was four at the time and I was every bit of thirty-seven years old. That is the age of my daughter now… thirty-seven. The pain goes away but the memory does not. My life has taught me a lot and I feel I have come a long way but, even with a wealth of life experiences, I can help my daughter only so much. I can support her decisions and lend her some strength, but she needs to make the moves. Sheneedstodowhatshefeelsisbestforherselfand her two children. You know and I know that life is good, but sometimes things can get a little “crazy.” That’s a good word for all the confusion and challenges life brings and, of course, we worry about mak-ing the right decisions. In my spiritual training over the years, however, I’ve learned that there’s no such thing as a “wrong” decision; we just do exactly what we are supposed to do at the time. I sincerely believe that now, but I wish I had known that spiritual truth when I was younger. It would have lifted some of the heaviness from the load I felt I was carrying. My daughter knows the deci-sions she is making now are the correct ones for her so I stand back and allow. It’s all good. I feel fortunate about the fact that Maiteland and I can talk about these things and our discus-sionsoftenrevolvearoundspiritualsolutions.Wetalk about our dreams, our feelings, and what the Universe has in store for us. My heart hurts, knowingfirst-handjustwhatshe’sgoingthroughright now and I hope my life experiences can help her to get where she needs to go. I know my son-in-law is having problems with allthis, butItrytostayneutral.Heisagoodfather and I understand that he’d feel devas-

tated about being separated from his children. I know his love for Joshua and Bella is strong andI’mcertainhewillfightbackasmuchashecan. I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes… or my daughter’s so, to be fair, I will do everything in my power to stay neutral. Hopefullysomekindofpeacefulsolutionwillcome that makes sense for both of them. The twist, however, is that my daughter may be forced tomovebacktoSpainbecauseshehasbeendeniedresidencyinEngland.Sheandmyson-in-law have been separated for over six months now and that denial for residency is a blow for all involved. Visitation is not so easy when it’s across the English Channel. ThefirsttimeMaitelandandIwereinSpaintogether, she had a vision at a castle we visited. The vision was from a past life in which she was supposed to get married, but it did not transpire. The vision was so powerful that she started crying immediately and it took me a while to calm her down. I feel she has karma there that still needs to be resolved, not to mention that there is something aboutSpainthathasastrongholdonher.Ineight years of marriage she and her family went backandforthseveraltimes.SpaintoEngland,EnglandtoSpain.PerhapsthistimeshecangetgroundedandtrulyfindoutwhatSpainhastoofferher.IpersonallyloveSpain;theclimateis superb and the mountains and water views breath-taking. It’s like getting the best of both worlds. But,lifemovesondoesn’tit?Sometimesinconversation I’ll toss out the phrase “to be contin-ued” and that’s the situation with my daughter at this time. Because of our very close relationship, I’m sure it means the same thing for me. SoIsay, withalargemeasureofhopeandtrustthatallisinDivineOrder–staytuned, thisstoryisdefinitelygoingtobecontinued.•

n the last month’s article, I related stories about two men who received a healing from John of God. Both stories were what I call miracles but at the Casa of Dom Ignacio, they

were the result of spiritual surgeries per-formed by the Entities and John of God. Most surgeries at Casa Dom Ignacio are spiritualsurgeries–healingfromthespiri-tualdimension.However,ifyouvisitJohnof God, there is an opportunity to receive a visible surgery. This article is my eyewit-ness account of a visible surgery of a friend. The visible surgeries get most of the media attention results in sensationalism. There have been several documentaries about JohnofGodaswellastwoABCPrimetimeepisodes. Casa Guides say that all health prob-lems can be treated with spiritual surgeries. ear, in and of itself, is neither good nor bad. It is just one end of the emotional energetic spectrum

that humans have created and taught to each other. It is an energy that can be felt, smelled, tasted and the results of it can easily be seen. There was an overabundance of this energy created and passed around during the last few thousand years of the great cycle that has just ended12/21/12. Whilelivinginthisenergy, many of our life experiences have been fear based. Being human can

be very confusing. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being alone, fear of being with others, fear of not being loved, and fear of being loved.Allareimagescreatedbyus.Imagesare mental games we play with ourselves. Images are illusions.

Ahumanisamixedsoupofavariety of aspects of consciousness. Someaspectsareintegrated, someare not. The unintegrated aspects are destructive and are hiding a gift that can only be revealed by personal work. That means honest introspec-tion, not only alone but with others appropriately trained in the clearing process. By benevolently connecting

with and absorbing the unintegrated parts of ourselves, we become more. Aswegrowbyclearing, wehavemore of “who we really are” available to us. Therein hides the gift we give to ourselves. Fear is the flashing neon light drawing our attention

to the gift. The price is no self-delusion,noself-pity.Whenweletgo of that part of ourselves holding onto the fear, a great deal of extra energy is released. It takes effort and life force to hold onto fear. In letting go that energy is available to help us feelmorealivethanever.Wehaveopened a new path on our journey.

Below are the 6 most common fears humans experience and practical steps you can take to overcome them. Fear of Failure - This fear deserves the top spot because it rules over allouractionsanddecisions.Wealldo,anddon’tdo,thingsinordertoavoidfailure.Failurecanbealotofthings:realizingyoudon’tliveyourlifethewayyouwantedto,notsucceedinginyourplans,findingyourselfhelpless,orinthe worst cases even hitting rock-bottom. Failure is a very ambiguous and subjective term because failure is not on the same level and perspective to everyone, what counts as failure to one might not be even halfway there to another. To some, failure is actually a way to learn lessons and try again, so it is not really an end, but a tool for future reference. The main fear of failing comes with the disappointment that follows, that feeling that despite your effort, nothing seemed to go as you wished it did, and itcausesafeelingsuchthatyoumightnotevenwanttotryagain.Oneofthemostcommonbehaviorsassociatedwiththisfearisprocrastination:haveyoubeen thinking about losing weight, exercising or cleaning out that garage for months?Years?Myadviceisthis.Startinsmallstepsandsmalltimeincre-ments. Fear of Pain –Mostofusareintoleranttoorafraidofphysicalpain. This can be noted in the fact that there are a great amount of medications related to pain relief. The rejection of pain is caused because we associate physi-cal pain with illness and bad health, in general. Let’s face it, pain is not a good sensation, and like animals do, we tend to keep away from that which causes us pain, as it is one of the key elements in

Fear & Personal Growthsurvival instinct, as well as the way our brain tells us that there is something wrong with a certain part of our body or that the action we are doing is caus-ing a negative effect on it. In this case pain in itself is not a bad thing, but a way to let us know that we must stop doing what we are doing to avoid further damage to our body.

If you have chronic pain, don’t mask it with a pill. Rather, seek help from a chiropractor, an acupuncturist or a nutritionist who can help you identify “why” you have pain, and provide recommendations and natural remedies to repair the cause of the problem. Fear of Public Speaking –Thisfearisrelatedtothefearofgetting bad criticism, and is also caused by our social fear of not projecting a goodenoughimageofourselvestoothers.Weallhavefeltitatleastonceinourlives,havingtospeakorperforminfrontofanaudience.Wefearthatwemight mess up and cause the audience to respond negatively, either by mock-ing us with laughter or, in the worst cases, booing. Fear & Personal Growthfear rejection because, like the fear of being alone, most of us can only justify our existence through the acknowledgement and acceptance of others. There are people who argue that acceptance from society is a mere illusion, and that there is no such thing as “normal” behavior from an individual within asociety–ifthisisthecase, thenwhydowefearnotbehaving“correctly”and in accordance with the cultural norms? Fear of Death - This fear is not no. 1, because, even though it is the main reason our instincts tell us to act the way we do, it is a well-known truth that we all in the end will kick the bucket. But that doesn’t mean we have death as our worst everyday worry, because we avoid the thought of it as a near future occurrence in our lives. The fear of death is tightly tied to the fear of the unknown; we don’t know for sure what will happen to us when we leave this world. In fact, we are so interested in death that we have even developed whole cultures and religious beliefs that have tried to give an explanation to death since the beginning of time.Almostallancientcivilizationshaveagodlyformoramethodofwor-shiping death in some way, and we’ve all learned to respect it and eventually accept it. Free from Fear - My favorite technique to address my fears is the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which is a form of energy psychology. Bygentlytappingyourfingersoncertainspotsonyourfaceandbody, youcaninduce an energetic and cognitive shift, which helps reframe the problem. By seeing the problem from a new angle, you will often experience new insight. These energetic movements can open new pathways for healing, without spending hours rehashing the past. Following a cognitive shift, you often feel less guilt and self-blame, more hope, or a simple sense of relief in an area where you’ve never felt relief before. EFT can be used to treat deep limiting beliefs, fears of the future, fear of success, fear of failure, anxiety about expectations, poorbodyimageandanythingelseyoucanthinkof.•

HEALING ADRENAL FATIGUE• Be in bed before 10pm.

• Sleep in until 9am whenever possible.

• Look for things that make you laugh.• Eliminate the energy robbers

(people, situation & things)• Make your lifestyle a healing one.

• Do something pleasurable every day.• Whenever you are not enjoying your life,

go back and make lists of what may be draining to you.

• Be grateful everyday for some small thing.

• Take your dietary supplements regularly - B complex (with panthothenic acid), adrenal glandular, magnesium, Vit C.

EFA’s, D3).• Move your body and breathe deeply.

• Believe in your ability to recover.• Use your mind as a powerful healing tool.

• Keep a journal each day.• Eat the foods your body needs: protein,

fat and good carb at each meal.• Learn which foods make you feel bad and

keep a list.• Get the Adrenal Fatigue book.

• Drink in the am, ½ tsp of good sea salt in warm water each morning. *

• Salt your food, salt your water.• No fruit, unless you have something with

salt before or after the fruit and chew very well. **

want to wind down at this time.• Take 1,000 mg. of Vitamin C with 200

mg. magnesium and pantothenic acid at approx. 2pm every day along with a small

snack in order to help avoid the 3-4pm low.

* If the salt is making you feel better, continue to do it. On mornings when you exercise fully, you may not want as much salt. Be mindful of your cravings for salt and potassium containing foods during the day. These desires may serve as indicators of adrenal function during the day. Use only a good quality sea salt. ** Most who suffer from hypoadrenia (adrenal fatigue) are also hypoglycemic. High glycemic foods like fruits and sugars may exacer-bate your symptoms. Eat frequent meals to keep blood sugar level.

e often think about what life can give to us.Wewonderhowtomanifestwhatwewant, how to create our own personal dream, and how to arrive at whatever destination we’ve related to as the pur-

poseoflife.“HowdoIgetwhatIwant?”hastransitionedfrom being a materialistic mantra to a spiritual one. It is even projected at times as if there is no point to spiritual practice, unless it offers some practical good. But are there ways within personal practice to make it an offering for others or to be a part of manifesting the greater Good? Isometimesfindmeditationstudentslookingverycon-fused when I mention using meditation as a tool to give backtolife.Onapersonallevel, meditationcancertainlybring greater focus, lower blood pressure and expand the capacity to observe the self in a way that improves mental health. Finding silence in practice offers many gifts that can’t be fully appreciated without having the experience. Life slows, the mind sees its own nature, and the body becomesfilledwithinvigoratingprana.Beyondtheselfhowever, there is the threshold of how we relate to others.

In Tibetan Buddhist practice, there is a tradition called offering the mandala, a method of giving back in practice. The mandala represents all of what makes us who we are, and the meditation is meant to elicit a generosity of spiritthatoffersourselfforthebenefitofothers.Thatlevel of bodhicitta or compassion toward all beings lends something miraculous to both the recipient and the sender. It elevates both reciprocally. By choosing to give to the whole within meditation, there is a different level ofexternalengagementthatcanoccur.“Peacebeginswithme,” as Gandhi said, but that doesn’t mean it ends with me.“Iamaninstrumentofpeace,”saidSt.Francis;Ihavethecapacitytoextendpeacefrommyselfforthebenefitofall. Constructing the mandala is practiced through imagin-ing every gift we have ever been given, whether from our family, from mentors or strangers along the way; and every good thing we have personally cultivated through experiences of blessing or hardship; that all the positive signs, totems, personal miracles and milestones that have happened to us, all coalesce into being the backdrop of who we are today. They exist behind and around us like

a halo or an aura of what we have become. By bringing awareness to all the good that has been offered to us, we are better able to project good and blessing to others. The technique is meant to cultivate a deep gratitude and interconnection with what has come before us to shape our path. The Tibetan Buddhist view is that we benefitfromseeingallbeingsasourMothers—thatweareinter-related and have the capacity for compassion on that deep level. “May all Mother sentient beings boundless as the sky, have happiness and the causes of happiness,” the Four Immeasurables prayer begins. The practice of gener-ating the mandala is designed to invoke this immeasurable good will within meditation. The root concept of offering the mandala is to aspire beyond what we want or think we need for survival. It is to sever the habit of grasping this life as if it is ours to cre-ate or destroy. Yet in the process of focusing compassion on others and re-directing our attention away from per-sonal goals, fears or indulgences, we transform ourselves. Aswetapintothevastnessoftheweboflifethatgivesus sustenance, the support of all the ancestors that have

come before us, the charity of those who have gifted us inthislife, andtheinfinitecapacitywehaveinourselvesto choose the good, we cannot help but see a beautiful, interdependent wholeness that is also present within the nature of who we are. Outofthiscultivatedcapacitytoseeeverythingaswhole, including ourselves, there is a gift we can offer to others. Beyond the everyday mind we can observe all that hascollaboratedforourbenefit, anddecidetobeapartofthehighestbenefitforallbeings.TheTibetanviewisthatonly by generating this selfless compassion (bodhicitta) canwefindourwaytotheultimate, orenlightenedstate. The path is to relinquish the self ’s endless grasping for its own needs, to pave a way toward understanding our deep interdependence.AllbeingsmayhavebeenourMothers;thus any limited goals of personal attainment would be best weighed against the good of all. Ihavebenefitedfrompracticesthathavechallengedmeto consider all the good that has existed in my life, even the good that comes through the darkest moments or that hasbeencultivatedbymyowndrivetoimprove.Ourconditions, our past experiences are not always rosy. They

may contain things that have pushed us to rise above, or to be a better version of ourselves. Those too have contributed to the greater aspects of our being and have given us the commitment to face challenges, to arise from the ashes, to ride the crest of the wave. That part of my mandala may incorporate times of fear or tragedy, viola-tion or great loss, but I know what I have gained from those experiences. By letting our minds fall over the worst periods of our lives as well as the best, we are propelled to claim the gifts of awareness that inevitably come from these obstacles. I am made better by all of life’s complica-tions not just its blessings and accomplishments. If this is true for me, it is also true for the many beings to which I inter-relate, and to whom I can project my intentofcompassion.Whatlooksfromtheoutsidelikea wasted life or a life lost in struggle, may in fact be the journey of someone with great lessons who deserves my infinitecompassion.Weneverknowhowothers’experi-ences relate to our own; we never know what aspects of their being are manifested in the deepest parts of our own shadow. They may be our Mother, or teacher or have

wisdom that could guide our journey of understanding. Allmeditationpracticehasthecapacitytoilluminate;however, when we take that next step toward generating a practice that acknowledges our interdependent relation-shipwithallthings—makingitnotjustforourselves,then the reciprocal good is truly vast. I receive and give back great value from my choice to meditate, and I intend that this good be exponentially multiplied. For the welfare of the Earth, the insects, plants, the marine animals, land animals, humans and the spirits of those departed, we can dedicateourpracticetoallLife.Mayallbeingsbenefit.•

ON-GOING EVENTS

RITUAL POSTURE MEDITATION DIVINATION trances take us into closer alignment with Truth. We can see more clearly, sometimes beyond the constrictions of time, sometimes seeing what is perpetually in front of us but out of focus. The purpose is to dis-cover what is hidden. For beginners we suggest asking simple questions, perhaps seeking a simple “yes” or “no” answer, then progressing to ask for clarification. The more precise the question is, the more meaningful the response will be. This work-shop is facilitated by Karen Brooks and the cost is $15 per person. Plan on an hour and a half for this event. Crystal Corner 38925 County Road 54, Zeph-yrhills, FL 33542. You must register/pay in advance for classes to reserve your seat as class sizes are limited. (813) 788-4999. It be-gins at 7pm in our Body, Mind and Spirit suit (38919 over door) (next to Crystal Corner store). Everyone is welcomed to join in. A love offering is appreci-ated. MEET YOUR SPIRIT GUIDE This class explains what spirit guides are and gives information about our guides. A relaxation meditation followed by a guided imagery meditation leads us to meet our guide and learn more about ourselves. Always on the last Friday of each month at 7pm. Crystal Cor-ner 38925 County Road 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33542. Class space is limited so make your reservations
