I copied some of the German lyrics from the homepage http://www.wu-wien.ac.at/usr/h89/h8925900/MusicalVienna/Main.htmbut sometimes they were not correct and complete, so I corrected and completed them according to the 2CD box „Tanz der Vampire“. I added the missing German lyrics that seem not to be available on the internet and translated the whole musical. In November 2000 and January 2001 I saw the musical and therefore could add the lyrics to the songs "Die roten Stiefel - Tanzsequenz" which is an instrumental on the official 2CD box release, and "Stärker als wir sind", which is not on the 2CD box at all.I translated it word by word rather than keeping just the meaning. That’s why it sounds clumsy most of the time, but I can assure you the original German lyrics are very good. Of course sometimes even the German original lyrics don’t make much sense, especially when von Krolock and the vampires are talking. But keep in mind, some of those guys are very old, obviously undernourished and probably getting senile! I did not use other people‘s translations, because I did not want to be accused of plagiarism. If there are some lines strikingly similar in my English translation and in other translations available on the internet – well, they are translations of a given text.
