S400DTV This option will be the preferred choice for many customers.It has a ASI input for direct connection to the optional multiplexer It also has RF inputs that can drive the transmitter from other DTVtransmitters .
Unlike analogue DTV transmitters can be cascaded in chains.
Error correction is empolyed so distortion dosn't sum in the chain.

On a UHF DTV transmitter the ip shoulder at +/-4.2MHz from centre frequency arecompliant ,for example in Europe to meet EN 302 296 V1.1.1 ,prices shown is for noncritical mask requirements .Additional antenna filters may be required if other RF sig-nals are adjacent channel on the same tower that could cause intermodulation.Critical mask filters are required when a channel is usually allocated by the regulatingauthorities and a critical mask filter is a requirement of the license due to the adjacentchannel requiring additional protection , because it is a lower power transmission andthe intermodulation products of the higher power transmission could cause interfer-ence.Critical mask filters are a standard product and available at extra cost.
The power outputs specified are for COFDM DTV digital.
USA Digital transmitters are the same price ,but with a 8VSB(ATSC) exciter.
Power levels ,due to different modulation are approx 35-40% higher when configured
with a 8VSB Digital modulator.
Brazil ISDB-T Digital TV standard are the same price ,with a Brazil ISDB-T exciter

Depending on the power and theterrain up to eight TV programscan be broadcast from a singledigital transmitter depending onthe bandwidth in megabits allo-cated to each program and theefficiency of the multiplexerusing a standard DVB-T withMPEG 2 video encoding.Later technology DVB-T2 adds
further capacity MPEG4 Videoencoding . 15+ standard definition pro-grams can be broadcast from asingle DVB-T2 transmitter or amixture of HD and SD programs .Taylor DVB-T2 transmitters canbe operated in DVB-T ,DVB-T2and DVB-T to enable easy futureupgrade to DVB-T2A single digital transmitter canprovide a standard or high defi-nition multichannel platform at avery small cost compared toanalogue. In addition encryptedpay channels can be added to allor some of the TV programs.
Digital TV transmitters need less power to cover the samearea. A 1000kW ERP is typical of UHFanalogue transmitter for largeareas , a 100kW ERP digital *transmitter will service a similararea. *10kW transmitter with 10dB of antenna over-

Water cooling how-ever does add additional main-tenance and a higher riskalthough minimal of cata-strophic failure through leaks.We consider many aspects inthe design of our transmittersto ensure as much as possiblethat a transmitter stays on aireven if a module requiresmaintenance and has to beremoved.Unless a compact transmitteris essential,we advise a cool-ing method used in serverfarms that is tried tested andreliable and also ensures anyadditional equipment added isoperated in a cool environmentthat maximizes long tern oper-ation and reliability and is themost economic method of cool-ing that has significant energysaving.This type of cooling which isessentially air conditioningspecifically designed to coolelectronic equipment it is notbespoke to a specific transmit-ter manufacturer, so there aremany sources ,but more impor-tant portable cooling can betemporally deployed duringmaintenance if cooling systemsor backup cooling i are notfunctioning.Cooling reliability is one of themost important things withregards to long term reliabilityof electronic systems, in partic-ular broadcast transmitters inremote areas . Cooling efficiency is alsodegraded at altitude so thecooling system has to be pro-vided that suits the specificlocation and also consideringaverage outside temperatures .
