They were imprisoned in Karachi eight months ago for allegedly fishing in its territorial waters. Dawn newspaper reports the fishermen will travel to Lahore where from they will cross the Wagah border and return home. Last month, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal had said that nearly 300 Indian fishermen would be freed in two phases till 8th January. 6.0-magnitude quake hits Myanmar-India Border Region New Delhi, Jan 7 An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale hit the Myanmar-India (Manipur) Border Region this afternoon. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), a unit of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the quake occured at 12:17 pm at a depth of 35 km. Cold wave sweeps North India; 26 died in Bihar Patna, Jan 7 Northern and eastern parts of the country are reeling under severe cold wave conditons. In Bihar, 26 people have died so far due to intense cold throughout the state. 12 people died in districts of Samastipur, Muzaffarpur and East Champaran. e-way bill system to be rolled out Port Blair, Jan.4 All traders, transporters and C&F Agents of A&N Islands have been requested to take note that the nationwide e- way bill system will be ready to be rolled out on a trial basis by 16th January, 2018. This system can be used on a voluntary basis from that day. It is felt necessary that all the stakeholders get acquainted with the system well in advance in order to switch over to the new system painlessly. Balakrishnan said that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) between ASEAN and six of its key partners including India is a historic opportunity to set up the world's largest trade bloc. Indian diaspora provides strong platform for deeper ties with ASEAN countries : Minister New Delhi, Jan 7 Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has said, major projects entailing an investment of about 32 thousand crore rupees are in the pipeline to decongest the national capital. It includes development of the Dwarka Expressway at a cost of 6,000 crore rupees. Shri Gadkari said, the initiatives, some of which are progressing fast, are in line with the Modi government's vision to ensure seamless flow of traffic in the National Capital Region besides minimising vehicular pollution.
