Motor skills to move text into correct columns and use mouse.

Strengths: Appropriate for deaf learners needs. Once created can be accessed by all

tutors. Can be matched to meet needs of all

levels of students and any subject. Weaknesses:

Time consuming to create. Quality of interpreter may not be clear.

Students and tutors can learn independently – excellent if deaf awareness session cannot be arranged immediately.

Good examples of good and bad practice. Case studies. Scenarios eg in a class where you are not

able to communicate.

User friendly. Combines BSL and English Visual, colourful. Good basic info for communicating with

deaf students. diverse mix of people shown eg age,

ethnic origin, gender.

Weaknesses? Need to keep returning to root menu,

rather than play each section right through.

Some poor lighting quality. Small font size. Visually impaired need more

contrasting colours.
