    Definition:

    An Attitude is An Organization

    of Beliefs.

    Attitudes predispose someoneto respond is some preferential

    manner.

    A manner of acting, feeling, orthinking that shows ones

    disposition, opinion, etc.

    Attitudes are acquired.

    People can learn new

    attitudes.

    Attitudes impact workhabits.

    An Attitude cannot be directly

    observed.

    You infer an attitude from an

    individuals behavior body

    language or posture.

    Changing an attitude is

    People will have an

    certain way and over time

    their attitude will change.

    Changing someones behaviorwill change his/her attitude.

    Staff can work on behaviors

    directly. Staff can impact

    attitude indirectly.

    Summary

    Attitudes can be changed.

    We cant expect customers toknow what they havent beentaught.

    Behaviors change attitudes. Job search is easier to teach

    than work habits and attitudesbut work habits and attitudesare what move people up in

    jobs.

    Implement techniques that getcustomers to see the job marketfrom a different perspective.
