Brief description of the data:
The data set we have considered shows the attendance of the
audience in a particular Basketball stadium having a maximum
seating capacity of 30,000 for various ticket prices for a set of
27 teams.
The data is bivariate as it contains two variables, namely
The scale of measurement is ratio scale as the data is
quantitative and the ratio of two values is meaningful and a zero
value can be included to indicate that nothing exists for the
variable at the zero point.
For example: A zero value for the ticket price would mean that
the ticket is free of cost.
In addition if we compare the ticket price of 1318.8 to 655.2,
the ratio property shows that the first ticket price is 2.01 times
the second ticket price.
Also, the data is cross sectional as it describes the 2
variables for the 27 teams at the
same point in time. The data is secondary as it it was collected
by someone else for some other purpose
but is being utilized by the investigator (Our team) for another
purpose (Creating this project).
