Collaborative Teaching DefinitionIn Collaborative Teaching, team teachers

work together to teach the material not by the usual monologue, but by exchanging and discussing ideas and theories in front of the learners.

Collaborative Teaching ExampleA nursing class is studying ethical and legal

issues about death and dying.

• In a debate in front of the class, one teacher argues in favor of physician-assisted suicide.

• The other teacher argues that life should be preserved at all costs.

The students then write a position paper outlining their positions on the topic and their legal responsibilities under the current law.
