TeamTec Multi Vac Units are water jet vacuum pumps designed for use onboard dredgers. Most mud and silt from the seabed and from rivers contain gases. The application for the Multi Vac unit is thus extraction of the gas prior to the inlet of the dredging pump to secure a safe and proper function of the pump. The units are designed for creating vacuum down to 90% and the suction inlet of the units are normally connected to a simple gas separator being fitted in the dredging suction line. The discharge outlets of the units are led to a close pit from where the water is led overboard while the gas is vented to the atmosphere at a convenient location. TeamTec Multi Vac units are made in hot galvanized mild carbon steel and all internal parts being exposed to liquid with higher velocity than 4 m/sec are made in stainless steel – quality AISI 316 L.
