• Earth Savers Club Partners included – schools groups (i.e Clemson University Students for

Environmental Action, Mill Creek High School Environmental Club)

– civic organizations (i.e Girl Scouts)

– faith-based communities (i.e. Savannah Grove Baptist Church Youth Ministry)

• Partnerships in California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, New York, and South Carolina.

for Christ office establish a workplace recycling program. Now they invite us to be the Green Sponsor of their music festival

Networking can…– Open Doors• Telling people about your cause helps you

find new volunteers, partners, and donors

– Be Virtual • Social networking is a great tool to spread

Where did stickgirl go wrong?

1. Where did stickgirl go wrong?a. Never allowed a point in her Earth

Savers Club meetings for agenda suggestions.

b. Asked her best friends to join her in her campaigns.

c. Rewarded her volunteers with doughnuts instead of a healthy alternative like apples.

d. Chose Justin Beiber music for her dance-a-than fundraiser.

e. She is trying to master her elevator pitch, but is not quite there.

local park for Earth Savers Club.c. She attempted to make new friends by

inviting Special Education students to the local eco-pep rally with her.

e. Sickgirl used snail mail instead of email to contact potential partners.

f. She followed up three times to her local Wal-Mart about a donation.
