Back to top What are the known issues in this release?

TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS requires a reboot after installation to function properly.

Some base maps may show black borders in areas that lie beyond the map bounds. This is an artifact of JPEG compression which does not support transparency.

If you attempt to uninstall TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS while ArcMap is running, TerraGo will abort the uninstall process and your operating system will present an error message. Depending upon your operating system, the message presented may be unnecessarily severe. Close ArcMap and re-start the uninstall process.

GeoMarks cannot be imported into a file geodatabase that is currently being displayed in ArcMap. At times, removing the layer is not enough to release the lock on the file. If you encounter a locked file during GeoMark Import, closing auxiliary dialogs such as attribute table views and the identify tool can release the lock on the file. If you continue to encounter the lock message, you may need to close and reopen ArcMap without opening the file prior to GeoMark Import.

Page 10: TerraGo Publisher ®for ArcGIS Version 6.7.3, July 2015 Publisher® ®for ArcGIS Version 6.7.3, July 2015 What is TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS? What’s new in this release? What defects

GeoMarks imported into ArcMap and published as a map service using ArcMap 10.1 do not display as expected. This issue has been logged with Esri.

Esri data obtained online may produce unexpected results in the exported GeoPDF file.

The Repair installation feature is unavailable in version 6.0.3 and 6.0.4. You must uninstall and then reinstall the product to correct any installation errors.

Some conflicts between one or more of the host application’s extensions and TerraGo.

Publisher for ArcGIS PDF layering may prevent settings in a map document file from persisting.

Depending upon the parameters specified in a map document file, an Azimuthal Equidistant map frame may not provide accurate information in the exported GeoPDF file.

When exporting GeoMarks from a spherical projection map using TerraGo Toolbar, best practice is to export using the convert to WGS84 option for the best results importing into TerraGo Publisher.

If you are running TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS version 6 and you have defined Data Driven Pages for your map document file, users running ArcGIS version 10 with TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS version 5.x will not be able to open the .mxd. Disabling Data Driven Pages will allow these users to open the file.

TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS does not support State Planes NAD83 Alaska 1 FIPS 5001.

Exporting multiple Data Driven Pages to a single TerraGo Enabled GeoPDF file using a Trial License produces coordinate truncation.

The TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS GeoPDF export process does not support the free, read-only Maplex license that is included with the ArcView license.

GeoMark data exported from TerraGo software version 6 may not import into earlier versions of TerraGo software.

The online Help Glossary tab does not display data when opened from the Start menu or on machines where Adobe Reader X or XI in Protected Mode is installed.

The Open GeoPDF File after Creation option on the Export tab in the TerraGo Preferences window applies when exporting a single GeoPDF file. If you define the properties for Data Driven Pages, this option applies when you are exporting a specific enabled Data Driven Page or a specific area on an enabled Data Driven Page. This option does not apply when exporting to multiple GeoPDF files.

RasterCatalogLayer does not detect transparent, no-data pixels and GdbRasterCatalogLayer does not properly use white as a transparent color for rasterized vector layers.

GeoNote text viewed in the Annotation Inspector may not appear as expected.

The GeoMark Export process does not export the GeoMarks contained in grouped base map layers.

Page 11: TerraGo Publisher ®for ArcGIS Version 6.7.3, July 2015 Publisher® ®for ArcGIS Version 6.7.3, July 2015 What is TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS? What’s new in this release? What defects

To use the TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS attribute and hyperlink functionality with a base map layer you must first ungroup the layer. From the Layers list, right-click the base map layer to ungroup, then from the shortcut menu, click Ungroup.

From Data View, exporting grouped or ungrouped base map layers on a map document file to a GeoPDF file results in missing data.

Exporting an ungrouped base map layer on a map document file to a GeoPDF file results in a partial image display or map frames may be blank.

When the Maintain Visible Scale Range Settings check box is selected on the Layers tab in the GeoPDF Export Configuration window, exporting a grouped base map layer on a map document file to GeoPDF file does not extract all of the data associated with the base map. Ungrouping the base map layer prior to exporting, displays all the data associated with the ungrouped layer.

When you create a map document file from the Blank Document template, export it to a GeoPDF file and then create another map document file from the Blank Document template, the export configuration settings from the previous map document file persist to the new map document file. To clear these export configuration settings, click Export Configuration on the TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS toolbar. In the error message, click OK. Click the Layers tab. Click Clear Layers, Reset Layers and then OK. TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS deletes the export configuration settings that persisted from the previous map document file.

Legends applied to grouped base map layers in a map document file appear only as header values (Heading/Label/Description) when exported to a GeoPDF file, even though the actual values appear correctly in ArcMap.

To release the Annotation Inspector, click the Select Elements tool on the Tools toolbar. Back to top What are the installation requirements? The machine on which you plan to install the TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS software must meet the following hardware and software requirements: Hardware 280 MB of hard disk space to install the TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS software 32-bit or 64-bit Processor Software Operating systems such as Microsoft® Windows® 7, Microsoft Windows 8 and 8.1, Microsoft Windows Server™ 2008 R2 or Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 Publisher for ArcGIS version 6.1.0 was the last officially supported version for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
