Proposed Amendment to Washington County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan
The City of Brenham is proposing to amend the current Washington County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan,Mitigating Risk: Protecting Washington County from All Hazards, 2013‐2018, as it applies to the City ofBrenham. This amendment is to Section 17: Mitigation Actions. The proposed amendment is availablefor review at the City of Brenham Municipal Building located at 200 W. Vulcan Street, on the City ofBrenham’s website, www.cityofbrenham.org, and Brazos Valley Council of Governments website,www.bvcog.org. A 30‐day comment period is being provided to allow comments and concerns regardingthe proposed amendment. The comment period begins April 30, 2018.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at the meeting of the Brenham City Council onThursday, May 31, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the second floor Council Chambers of the City of BrenhamMunicipal Building located at 200 West Vulcan Street to consider the proposed amendment to theWashington County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
All persons desiring to offer comments regarding these requests are urged to attend these publicmeetings.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS PROJECT NO. 2018-05 – COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The City of Brenham, Texas is seeking submittals from qualified consulting firms to prepare a Comprehensive Plan.
Sealed submittals shall be addressed to the Office of the City Secretary, City of Brenham, 200 W. Vulcan St., Suite 206, Brenham, Texas 77833, and shall be labeled “RFQ - PROJECT NO. 2018-05, CITY OF BRENHAM COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, DO NOT OPEN”. Mailed bids, by USPS, must be addressed to P.O. Box 1059, Brenham, Texas 77834-1059. Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00P.M., Local Time on May 30, 2018. Bids may be submitted in person, electronically, by mail, or delivery service. Responses will NOT be accepted by fax.
Electronic submittals will be accepted at [email protected], with “RFQ – PROJECT NO. 2018-05, CITY OF BRENHAM COMPREHENSIVE PLAN” in the subject line.
The submittal specifications may be obtained, at no charge at the City of Brenham, Engineering Department or email Lori Lakatos, P.E., City Engineer, at [email protected].
The City of Brenham reserves the right to reject any or all submittals and to waive any minor technicalities. All submittals received after the closing time designated will be returned unopened.
Upon consideration of the submittals, the City of Brenham reserves the right to accept or to reject any and all submittals, to waive technicalities and to make any investigation deemed necessary concerning the proposers ability to provide the services as covered by the specifications, and to accept what in their judgment is the most advantageous submittal. The City of Brenham reserves all rights to negotiate with any or all firms submitting qualifications. Small and minority business, women’s business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encourages to submit qualifications and firms using subcontractors must solicit such firms in the subcontracting process.
