REBIRTH OF A CALLING - X3M Staff Writers

“It was one of those days where you didn’t exactly know what to think. But you knew something was going to change,” said Kevin McCullough. Describing the day in the late summer of 2011. “Our largest client, our first television network, and the syndication group that had been handling all of our sales and affiliation activity for us each made decisions to not configure either Baldwin/McCullough nor the Kevin McCullough show in their plans for 2012.”

Rebirth cont'd:recieved a call from the good people at

Focus on The Family. And with some staff moves and changes there, a number of people in the public policy side of that institution were interested in discussing the idea of bringing me on staff there in Colorado Springs,” said McCullough.

“A fabulous work environment, lots of great friends on staff, and a mission that I really believed in,” said McCullough, “It just all made me wonder if God was intending me to take on a new beginning.”

“When he called and told me of the offer, I knew that he was seriously considering,” said Baldwin. “You don’t get a call from a senior vice-president at an organization as big and historic as Focus, and not take a good long look at the opportunity. But I told him, ‘Brother, I don’t see God bringing us all this way to tell us it’s the end. With new studios, greater opportunity, and despite the loss of our television network - we added fifty new radio stations the same week - we certainly had our share of disappointment in August of 2011, but we had reason to push forward.”

So even with great opportunities on the table Stephen Baldwin and Kevin McCullough made the decision to reformulate an affiliate operation, representing their own shows to stations nationwide. Simultaneously McCullough began immediately re-forming the

internal sales operation similar to what they had when they started the company in 2008.

“My first call was to my friend Dani Johnson, who has trained up tens of thousands of people with incredible sales skills, and we began the earnest search for the team that has come together and given XtreMEDIA record breaking growth in 2012,” said McCullough.

It was all worth it, and new breakthroughs produced the validation that Baldwin & McCullough knew in their guts all along. For in only their 4th year of existence they had finally cracked the seemingly elusive “Heavy Hundred” ranking as published by TALKERS magazine every spring. Of the more than 2000 nationally syndicated, plus locally produced radio talk shows heard across America each year TALKERS magazine crowned the top hundred--not exclusively based on size of audience (though partially), but more a combined factor of influence, experience, and reach. It was an honor that had eluded them the previous two years of operation. It is also a milestone that very few broadcasts ever see.

Around this same time McCullough’s daily broadcast took several new turns in it’s growth as well. An increased visibility in the radio industry helped propel the daily Kevin McCullough Show to new markets, receiving special recognition in political action, faith-based, and secular broadcast arenas. McCullough was named the number 2 rising star in talk radio by the Hollywood reporter in August of 2012.

The new voice taking Sunday night radio by storm, was a supreme success story long before she hit the airwaves!RELAUNCH OF A VOICE - X3M Staff Writers

In January 2012 did you notice the ground rumble just slightly on Sunday nights?

You weren’t the only one. In fact the buzz around the hottest new show on Sunday night radio is one that has gotten the attention of programmers from San Diego to New York, and nearly everywhere in between.

In January XtreMEDIA launched a new national syndication show that already had a larger internet audience than most of the rest of the internet broadcasting world combined. And it was the momentum of taking calls from both web and a single market--NYC--that opened up the doors to more placement across the United States.

In 2010 Dani Johnson had been introduced to Kevin McCullough through their shared friendship of Stephen Baldwin. Dani had just landed a local radio show in Florida on a station owned at the time by Heartbeat radio. In 2010 Johnson was seeking advice on performance, and had requested a recommendation from Baldwin, knowing he had recently waddled into the talk radio space.

Thus began an intensive six-month consultation of communication and radio performance skill set development that when

applied by Dani Johnson demonstrated genuine strengths in the talk radio arena.

Following that time of coaching, and the birth of the friendship attached to it, McCullough spoke at length with Dani and her husband Hans and strongly suggested the idea of beginning to build a platform that was weekly, national, and on-air.

Many months passed but in September of 2011 Dani requested a meeting with Kevin in his home base of New York City.

“I’ve never lost the desire that God put on my heart, to go down this path. And now Hans and the other board members of DaniJohnson.com were encouraging me to pursue it and to see where it would go,” Dani relayed.

Ironically one of the brand new goals that Baldwin and McCullough had wished to see happen was to begin to grow other talent. To lend their knowledge in building media platforms to those with important voices, and those who would produce life-change in the people they reached.

Things moved quickly to round out 2011 with a series of phone calls and eventually a meeting in Texas the weekend of Thanksgiving. Then the rumbling began in January of 2012. And is still shaking things up 40 stations later, every Sunday evening 9-11pm EST.

At the time of publication of this issue another 12 stations are readying themselves to take Dani on Sunday nights.

Helping Moms be the kind of problem solving guru that only moms can be, even when they’ve lost all hope: HANNAH, HELP ME!!!REBRANDING OF PRESENCE - X3M Staff Writers

Considering all the other changes that took place in 2012, little did the management and staff of XtreMEDIA know that in the summer/fall of this same year yet one more content provider would join the ranks of those who could truly wear the moniker of “life-changing media.” Yet from the very moment Stephen Baldwin & Kevin McCullough met with Hannah Keeley, it became obvious that God had brought the parties together.

Hannah’s previous television show had been a grassroots-grown, word-of-mouth, independently-promoted hit. Originally airing on PBS stations requiring placement one market at a time, Hannah’s viewers had done such an effective job of spreading the news that in total 189 individual television markets were airing “Hannah Help Me.”

“Most of it was just one mom telling the other mom’s in their circles about the show, and it was sorta like, ‘hey here’s this place where you can be encouraged to realize you’re not all alone in this huge and sometimes overwhelming state of motherhood,’” said Keeley.

Hannah’s broadcast was then picked up by none other than the network owned and

operated by the former Queen of talk television--Oprah Winfrey. Sadly, due to financial reorganization, and ultimate bankruptcy at Oprah’s network, Hannah Help Me was shelved.

Hence the providence of meeting Baldwin/McCullough and the conversation that grew from that.

“We knew from the moment we met her, that Hannah had a message and a presence that Mom’s desperately need,” said McCullough. “To fully immerse yourself in the life of that Mom and to live in their shoes is something Hannah does without trying--having raised--SEVEN--of her own. But beyond that you can see that she just exudes this heart for moms specifically, and that in doing so she has set her sights on helping them, if it’s the very last thing she’s able to do. And that kind of gutsy, ‘I’m all in with you’ mentality -- we believe will translate into massive numbers of mother’s lives being given permission to not be perfect, to be free, and to have a life that they never felt they would before.”

Hannah Help Me is seen nationwide on Tuesday nights from 6-10pm EST on YouToo television.

DID YOU KNOW?

Feeding Orphans this Xmas! Many who read this update will know about an effort that ran across multiple radio shows, networks, the web, and newspapers this year called “2012 in 2012.”

The basic idea of it was to see to it that at the bare minimum 2012 orphans (who die at a rate of 1 every 90 secs) would have enough food to eat for a full year.

The amazing partnership of Food For Orphans, The Kings Ransom Foundation, DaniJohnson.com, Xtreme Charities, XtreMEDIA, Focus On The Family, Citizenlink, the Wall Street Journal, Salem Communications, American Family Radio, and the Truth Broadcast Network has now wielded more than double the original amount of children being fed.

And for Christmas, we’d only like one gift: for you to add an orphan or two to your list. Because for $92 you could save their life!

RECONCILING A NATION - X3M Staff Writers

With the 2012 elections having taken nearly 100% of the media attention oxygen our of every newsroom this year, we at XtreMEDIA are reminded again about our responsibility to be good stewards of one of the most sacred rights a free and a prosperous people will ever know, the right to vote.

Given that we also realize that as far back as this year’s primaries for the GOP, and the relative lack of choices from the DNC may have left many who would like to be good stewards a bit confused about how to exercise good stewardship in this sacred and patriotic blessing. Hence we ask you to consider 3 simple things.1. Our Judaeo-Christian heritage...

For Americans, the right to vote goes far beyond just the idea that we get a say in what rules we have to follow. Much, MUCH, deeper than that!

Since America was founded on universal principles that acknowledge nature, and nature’s God, then the implication of what becomes of America, isn’t merely a patriotic question, or one that’s arrived at based purely on the love for one’s own country.

America’s future does more to impact the entirety of the globe for good and bad than any other single event on the calendar. For if America succeeds so does most of the rest of the planet, but if America falters, falls back, or

fails then disaster awaits for much of the rest of the world as well. The difference in knowing right from wrong is a key strength of America’s history and by necessity must be part of her future.2. No one else can...

It has seemed an unusual amount of people that we have interacted with in this election cycle have talked more about doing less than their share than in any election in our memory.

Given the enormous implications, the two quite different choices that are laid before the American people, and the historical predications that those two philosophies have demonstrated in the past, it seems almost impossible to believe that a super laid back approach to such an important time in history could be considered.

The right to choose who serves on our behalf in the running of our nation is still--from a historical perspective--quiet young idea in world history. Spend some time, if you have the opportunity to, to speak with someone who has immigrated to the U.S. from a part of the world where the voice of the people was never allowed much less given the final say.

They will tell you repeatedly why they appreciate having a voice, a say, an opportunity to interview the potential

employee and to help weigh in on the final decision.3. Choose Wisely...

As many voices as there may be trying to convince you to vote for one candidate, or the other, or perhaps to convince you that there is no difference in voting for either, we’d like to caution you strongly.

When you yield your decision making to someone else in the expectation that they will never be wrong, never be misinformed, or never make a mistake, it is at that very moment that you will regret most the fact that you did not put on your own Binge Thinking cap, understand the issues for yourself, and make the best decision possible.

And for those who tell you there’s no difference so just don’t vote at all? They’re secretly working with the worst choice to see the most destruction come about.
