Page 3: The Blue and White Ball Program 2012

After the 2011 ball, the New York Auxiliary made the first gift toward the construction of Blue Ridge School’s new Track and Field center. Since that time, others among the

Blue Ridge Family who were inspired by our confidence in the project and our school have joined the effort.

For 2012 and 2013, we aim to expand our commitment by contributing an additional $100,000 toward track construction in addition to the important scholarship funds we have

long provided.

in this spirit, raise your number for the new York auxiliary “Yard Sale” this evening as Stephanie landess, formally of christie’s, auctions off yards of the track.

unique recognition opportunities are available for commitments of $2,500 or more.

Your generosity in supporting Blue Ridge School is greatly appreciated.

Honoree michael g. Boswell

A graduate of indiana university, with a degree in Business Administration, Michael g. Boswell is a model entrepreneur. After college, he spent two years in the united States Armed Forces as a platoon leader, Battery commander and Assistant S3 Battalion operations. He then learned the it business

working with Ross perot at electronic data Systems (edS) in sales for six years.

Making use of his it and government knowledge he founded several of his own businesses, growing and selling them over the years -- two of which were sold to Fortune 500 companies. today he is the founder and chairman of information capital enterprises, consisting of eight operating companies.

Mike’s appreciation and philanthropic efforts for Blue Ridge School grew from his experience as a Blue Ridge parent; his son, daniel, is a graduate of the class of 2001. An active and engaged parent, he

was asked to join the Board of trustees in 2000. in 2007, he was nominated as chairman and served until october 2010.

Mike shares his passion and energy for Blue Ridge School with many, especially those closest to him; his daughter, Melissa, recently joined the Board in 2010. Mike’s work for Blue Ridge School has been

generous in both time and contributions.

For his consistent presence and support of the New York Auxiliary’s events and functions, he is deserving of our admiration tonight.

Since 1909, Blue Ridge School has changed lives by helping talented, principled boys, grades 9-12, discover and reach their considerable potential. in a time when teenage boys are struggling within

school systems, BRS specializes in providing young men with the tools and attention needed to become their best selves. this transformation occurs when students are mentored by caring and

dedicated professionals, supported by motivated peers, and provided with opportunities for leadership and success in a boarding school environment.

BRS enrolls 195 students and the average class size is nine. experienced, passionate and well-trained faculty provide students with academic programs geared specifically for boys, based on the latest

gender-specific educational research. A rich mixture of fine and performing arts, outdoor adventure programs and 20 team sports offer students a wide range of activities and opportunities for growth.
