Lights are meant to save people: Lights, big or small, are meant to save people from various things. They keep you from stubbing your toe in the dark. They keep you from falling down the stairs or into a hole. They help you find things. They scare off prowlers. Headlights keep cars from crashing. Searchlights help find the lost. When you are lost in the waves or the woods that flashlight or fire is a signal for help. Christ is our Light if we let him. He keeps us from stumbling, our lives from crashing, and he finds us when we are lost. He makes the prowlers think twice before trying to rob us of eternal life
