MARCH 2017 www.metuchenchamberexchange.com (732) 548-2964
The Chamber Connection A Publication of the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce
News and Information about Chamber Members, Meetings, and Events
The beginning of the year is always a busy time at the Chamber, with wrapping up
the previous year’s events and activities, and planning for everything happening in the
coming months. This year is no different, except perhaps it is even busier, as we
prepare for the completion of major developments taking place in the downtown.
New residents are already moving into Woodmont Metro at Metuchen Station, and
the first stage of the District at Metuchen — with a new Whole Foods Market
and several other commercial spaces — is nearly completed. By the end of 2017, the town plaza should be complete.
All of this change in the downtown brings with it challenges, but also opportunities for improvement. The
Chamber is committed to capitalizing on every chance possible to fulfill our mission of advancing the civic, industrial, professional, and commercial interests of the Borough of
Metuchen and vicinity, maintaining a high standard of
integrity in business practices, and distributing information of value to
our members. We actively seek to bring business to the doorsteps
of our members, and to provide opportunities for Metuchen
residents and businesses to share in activities that are mutually
rewarding and improve the quality of life for all.

Remember Metuchenopoly? We do! The Chamber
issued a special edition in 2000, in honor of Metuchen’s Centennial. We’ve been sold out of the
game for many years, but still get requests. So, we’re working on re-issuing the game and will have more information soon on sponsorship
opportunities. If you want to be on the list to contact immediately with pricing information,
contact the office to put your name on the list.
