• As  a  leader,  you  cannot  “drive”  people;  you  must  “lead”  them.  • A  leader  must  be  found  faithful  in  stewardship.  • You  cannot  really  lead  and  help  people  if  you  don’t  like  them.  • You  cannot  fully  conquer  Kingdoms  until  you  have  conquered  yourself.

OH  GIVE  THANKS  UNTO  THE  LORD!  I  propose  that  in  this  season,  we  all  should  be  that  more  appreciative  of

that  which  God   has   done   and   is   doing.  While  many   are   giving   up   hope,   turning  themselves   over   to   vices   and   abandoning   all;   the   remnant   remains   focused,  committed  and  chaste.  This  does  not  mean  that  we  have  not  failed,  fallen  or  come  short  at  times;  however,  it  does  mean  that  we  have  persevered  and  determined  in  our   hearts   like   the   Apostle   Paul   to   “forget   those   things   which   are   behind,   and  reach  unto  that  which  is  before  us”.

The   thought   of   another   day,   another   chance   or   another   opportunity   is  enough   to   give   God   thanks.   Don’t   become   hardened   by   deceit,   a   lack   of  forgiveness   or   regrets.   Trials   and   Tribulations   are   building   tools   for   character.  You  are  not  defined  by  what  you  go  through,  you  are  made  known  by  how  you  handle  it.   I  Thessalonians  5:18  “In  every  thing  give  thanks:  for  this  is  the  will  of  God  in  Christ  Jesus  concerning  you.”

“  Family  Affair  “

Hold  the  child  that  wants  to  be  loved.  Speak  of  things  that  should  be  spoken  of.  Teach  the  child  no  matter  who  you  are.

For  they  are  in  need  of  knowledge    to  take  them  far.

Speak  to  the  child  that  is  willing  to  hear.  Teach  them  to  pray  and  hold  Him  near.

Run  with  the  child  who  holds  a  heart  so  free.  Be  the  example  of  whom  they  should  be.

Give  time  to  the  child  whose  soul  has  been  longing,  for  a  chance  to  know  a  sense  of

belonging.

Share  God’s  word  with  a  child.  Show  how  you  care.

For  –  love,  patience,  kindness…  It  is  a  family  affair.

 DELIVERANCE  FROM  FEAR!

"I   sought   the   Lord,  and   he  answered  me;   he  delivered  me   from   all  my  fears."  Psalm  34:4      Prayer  positions  us  to  receive  the  peace  of  God.  It  is  when  we  seek  Him  that  we  see  Him.  It  is  when  we  see  Him  that  we  are  secure.  As  we  travel  across  the  choppy  sea  of  life’s  circumstances,  we  can  become  dizzy  and  fearful  if  we  look  down  at  the  water  of  wonder.  But  if  we  keep  our  eyes  fixed  ahead  on  a  stable  object,  we  remain  secure  and  feel  safe.  Jesus  is  our  immovable  object  of  belief.  He  is  our  secure  Savior  who  is  there  for  us  when  fear  assaults  our  attitude  and  threatens   to  highjack  our  heart.  When   we   seek   His   face   He   reciprocates   by   flooding   our   countenance  with  His  peace.  He  replaces  our  furrowed  brow  of  fear  with  a  calm  face  of  faith.  He  gives  the  righteous  a  radiant  face  that  is  never  to  be  covered  with   shame.   The   Lord   hears   our   prayers   by   extending   His   peaceful  presence.

No  one  has  ever  been  sorry  for  seeking  the  Lord.  It  takes  time  and  effort  but   it   is   your   best   investment.   Process   your   problems  with   prayer   and  you  will  be  the  most  productive.  We  cannot  come  to  the  best  solutions  in   our   own   strength.   One   dimensional   problem   solving   only   leads   to  average   results   at   best.  Why   be   satisfied  with   a   perspective   limited   to  your  experiences,   intelligence  and  giftedness?  It   is  seeking  the  Lord  that  unlocks  a  treasure  trove  of  truth  that  leads  us  to  possibilities  we  would  never  imagine  on  our  own.  The  fruit  that  comes  from  replacing  fear  with  faith  is  unlimited.  We  can  rest  assured  as  the  Almighty  leads  us  down  a  new  path.  This  is  what  may  happen  in  the  process  of  seeking  your  Savior.  He  delights  in  determining  a  better  way  for  you.

This  next  season  of  your  life  is  the  Lord’s  reward  for  your  faithfulness  all  these  years.  You  have  sought  Him  unashamedly  and  obediently.  Money  has   not   been   your  motive.   Pride   has   not   prodded   you.   Fame   has   not  been  your   forte.  You  have  sought  Him  with  your  unselfish  service.  You  have  sought  Him  with  your  humble  obedience.  You  have  sought  Him  by  ministering   to   the   needs   of   others.   Because   of   your   faithfulness   in  seeking   Him,   He   has   grown   your   faith   and   marginalized   your   fears.  Therefore,  see  this  next  season  as  an  extension  of  His  blessings.  There  is  no   need   to   fear  because  God   is  near   those  who  seek  Him.   There   is   no  safer  or  more  secure  place  to  be  than  in  the  process  of  seeking  Him.

Moreover,  God  expects  to  hear  from  you  before  you  can  expect  to  hear  from  Him.   If  you   restrain  prayer;  He  may   refrain  grace   and  mercy.   The  more   you   think  upon   the  Lord,   and   less  of  yourself,   the  better  off   you  become.   Seek   Him,   lose   yourself,   and   you   will   discover   the   best   way.  Furthermore,   there   is   no   need   to   fear   your   next   transition   as   your  Heavenly  Father  has  your  hand  and  He  is  guiding  you.  There  is  no  need  to   fear   the   cessation   of   this   phase   of   your   career   as   He   is   in   control.  There  is  no  need  to  fear  the  breaking  off  of  a  relationship  as  He  is  in  the  business  of  mending  broken   hearts.  There   is   no  need   to   fear   provision  for  your  family  as  God  is  your  provider.  Seek  Him  and  He  will  deliver  you  from   your   fears.   Seek   Him   and   you   will   be   secure   in   Him.   Seek   Him  before,  during  and  after  trouble  comes.  Then  the  process  of  seeking  the  Lord   becomes   second   nature   to   your   soul.   Then   fear   fails   its   mission.  Indeed,  seeking  Him  fossilizes  your  fears!

GIVING  THANKS  Thanks  –  an  expression  of  gratitude,  acknowledgement  or  appreciation.    There   are   many   verses   in   the   Bible   that   speak   on   the   subject   of   giving   thanks.     I   will  mention  two.    Psalm   69:30   I   will   praise   the   name   of   God   with   a   song   and   will   magnify   Him   with  thanksgiving,    Psalm  100    A  Psalm  of  thanksgiving  and  for  the  thank  offering.  Make  a   joyful  noise   to   the  Lord,  all  you  lands!  Serve  the  Lord  with  gladness!  Come  before  His  presence  with  singing!  Know  (perceive,   recognize,  and  understand  with  approval)   that  the  Lord  is  God!  It   is  He  Who  has  made  us,  not  we  ourselves  [and  we  are  His]!  We  are  His  people   and   the   sheep   of   His   pasture.  Enter   into  His   gates  with   thanksgiving   and   a   thank  offering   and   into   His   courts   with   praise!   Be   thankful   and   say   so   to   Him,   bless   and  affectionately   praise   His   name!  For   the   Lord   is   good;   His   mercy   and   loving-‐kindness   are  everlasting,  His  faithfulness  and  truth  endure  to  all  generations.    There  is  so  much  I  have  to  be  thankful  for:  I  give  thanks  that  God  saw  fit  to  save  me  from  myself,   that  I  am  alive,   that   I  am  in  my  right  mind,  that  I   can  walk,   that   I  know  who   I  am,  that  I  was  brought  to  Shiloh  Restoration  Tabernacle,  that  I  have  spiritual  parents,  that…  There  is  more  and  there  is  a  testimony  behind  each  and  every  one  of  them…

YOUR  THREE  BEST  WEAPONS

Through  careful  strategy  and  cunning  deceit,  Satan  attempts  to  wage  war  against  you  and  keep  you  in  a  mindset  of  defeat.  But  God  has  given  you  spiritual  weapons  to  use  against   him.  Here  are   the  main   three  spiritual  weapons  you   can   use   to   fight   off   the  enemy:  1. God's  Word:   Receive   it   through   preaching,   teaching,   reading   and   private   Bible

study.  Continue   in   the  Word  until   it  becomes   revelation  given  by   inspiration  of  the  Holy  Spirit.

2. Praise:   This   defeats   the   devil   faster   and  more   efficiently   than   any   other   battle  plan,  but  it  must  be  genuine  heart-‐praise,  not  just  lip  service  or  a  religious  ritual.

3. Prayer:  Prayer   is   relationship  with   the  Godhead.   It   is   communication  with  God,  asking  Him  for  help  or  talking  with  Him  about  whatever  is  on  your  heart.  To  have  an  effective  prayer  life,  we  must  develop  an  intimate,  personal  relationship  with  the  Father.  Know  that  He  loves  you  and  that  He  wants  to  help  you.  There  is  a  war  going  on,  but  God   is   fighting  on  your   side  and  has  given  you   the  weapons  you  need.  Use  them  to  send  Satan  running!  Prayer  Starter:  Lord,  thank  You  so  much  for  giving  me  the  spiritual  weapons  I  need  to  fight  my  enemy.  With  Your  help,  I  know  that  I  can  win  the  battle  today!

2  Corinthians  10:3  “For  though  we  walk  in  the  flesh,  we  do  not  war  after  the  flesh”  Submitted  by  Lynette  Brown

 GIVE  THANKS  By:  Marcella  Williams

Often   times,   with   our   hectic   schedules,   and   day-‐to-‐day   activities,   we   as  Christians,   forget   to  take  the  time  to   just   stop,   look  up   towards   the  heavens  and  say  thanks.  Thus  unfortunately,  by   the  end  of  the  day,  most  of  us  are  just   so  exhausted,  that  all  that  we  want  to  do  is  place  our  heads  on  our  pillows  and  hope  for  6-‐8  hours  of  peaceful   sleep.     However,   according   to   God’s   word,   the   following   statement   was  expressed,   regarding   the   importance   of   thanksgiving,   “Enter   into   His   gates   with  thanksgiving,  and  into  His  courts  with  praise.  Be  thankful  to  Him,  and  bless  His  name”.  ...  Psalm  100:4.

Therefore  we  are  expected  to  always  give  thanks  regardless  of  the  situation  at   hand.     Unfortunately   we   often   times,   we   forget   this   factor,   which   in-‐turn   is   the  reason,   why   most   of   us   are   fighting   what   seems   to   be   a   never   ending   battle,  desperately  searching  for  answers  in  a  world  filled  with  heartache  and  pain.

As  human  beings,  we  often  ask  the  question,  “How  do  I  give  thanks,  when  things  are  in  constant  disarray?  Money  is  tight,  my  family  is  not  acting  right,  my  boss  is  driving  me  crazy,  friends  are  few,  and  through  it  all,  I’m  trying  to  do  everything  that  I  can  to  keep  my  sanity  along  with  my  Christian  posture.   If  only  someone  could  help.”  However,  good  news  is  here  my  sister  my  brother  God  has  not  forgotten  you.

He   loves  you   unconditionally   but  you  must   believe   and/or   incorporate   the   following  aspects:

1. Always  have  faith  the  size  of  a  mustard  seed,  knowing  that  God  is  in  control.  2. Be  thankful  for  what  you  have.  (Your  life,  family,  friends,  employment  etc.)  3. Know  that  God  will  supply  you  with  all  of  your  needs.  4. Give  with  no  expectations  in  return.  5. Always  remain  positive,  regardless  of  the  situation.  6. Incorporate  a  strong  prayer  life.  7. Be  thankful  for  not  only  the  great  in  size,  but  also  for  the  small.  8. Eliminate  negative  feelings  and  behaviors.  9. Believe  that  life  is  a  lesson  not  a  punishment.  10. Always  give  thanks  with  a  grateful  heart.

All-‐in-‐all  life  is  a  blessing,  only  granted  by  God  himself.  Therefore  the  time  has  come  to  take  a  moment,  look  to  the  heavens  and  shout  a  praise  of  THANKS,  for  God  is  good.

Adults  Only  End  Of  The  Year  Christmas  Party  (21st)  Okay  folks,  this  party  is  for  those  17yrs  and  older.  No  exceptions   get   a   babysitter   in   place.   It’s   adult  themed   and   oriented.   More   information   will   be  shared  via  email  &  bulletin  board.  Stay  Tuned!

New  Year’s  Eve  “Watch  Night”  Service  (31st)  It’s  always  a  grand  experience.  A  night  filled  with  testimonies,   laughter   and  an  empowering  Word  to  get  you  jump  started  for  the  New  Year.  What  better  way  to  open  the  New  Year,  than  to  do  so  praising  God.
