s Three years in completion, the property known today as The Creamery at Two Rivers is a masterpiece in hierarchal design. Set on 40 acres of a former cattle ranch, at the foot of the Grand Teton and along the Teton Range, where the Snake and Gros Ventre Rivers merge, is a seemingly unattainable marriage of great land and restrained design.

This piece of property in this part of the world is as rare as it gets. There simply won’t be any more places like this. And to be able to put a building like this on that piece of property and not change it and not destroy the landscape and then to honour the creek and the mountains and the views is an opportunity that may happen once in a lifetime,- or once in ten lifetimes.

The circa 1890 creamery was discovered on a ranch in Northwestern Montana.

Upon visiting the site, renowned American architect Paul Bertelli knew immediately how rare and special it was. And that it would take a very special client who would understand the need to do everything possible to do as little as possible.

The height of the walls, the width of the room,the length of it, proportions of that rectangle window were unforgettable. It was just so pure and simple that you wouldn’t want to touch it.

I think as the evening settles on this particular place you’re probably already rested or at least calm enough your heart rate goes down, your relaxation level goes up, your ability to sleep,

your ability to be at peace is so easy to do. This little sanctuary of the master bedroom where you are surrounded by the outdoors and you can fall asleep with the fire and the dusk takes over and

all of a sudden every star in the sky is outside and there’s a blackness about it but a beauty about it.

I would just want to fall asleep.

The excitement about this house was in the search of perfection, and finding it.

Eventually, if you’re patient and you keep looking and you have people who understand what you’re looking for, and the right things will show up. It’s amazing how the

materials for the doors, the ceiling, the timbers, the truss components, the stone – each one of those things was

something that we waited for and it paid off.
