be as a result of growing up at the edge of a valley in East Donegal,
where I could see rolling hills as far as the eye can see into the North
and into West Donegal. Everything I paint is from time spent in different
places, whether it be my childhood home, an artist residency, or travel
abroad. Many times I bring several different places into one work, such
as the piece ‘Hyenas down in the Median Green’ has hyenas that I saw in
Ethiopia placed in a field in Donegal.’ AnnQuinn

harneSSing creativity ShowcaSe:expanded territorieS An experimental combination of exhibition, demonstrations,
masterclasses, talks and screenings but will most importantly be a
celebration of all things creative! The Exhibition is open to the public from the 20th-
27th of September.
27th September the dock 10am - 6pm Free
beyond territorieS Seminar Harnessing Creativity’s one day free seminar will expand on some of the themes
addressed in the Expanded Territories exhibition, particularly focusing on the
challenges faced by creative practitioners and enterprises. With a host of international
and national representatives from the wider creative sector, the day will excite,
ignite and inspire! These events will demonstrate the creative and innovative talents
of participants and of the region, and will also highlight the distinctive resources
and character of the region articulated through prototype products, concepts and
experiences. These will form key messages harnessed in associated marketing and
promotion on behalf of the region, using showcases as a marketing tool.
This FREE event is open to ALL creative practitioners or businesses and is not
confined to any particular regional area. Register for the seminar if you are interested
in integrating innovative, creative working models into your company, exploring
potentially new directions for your practice or want to meet and make contact with
peers and professionals in the sector.
