The Evidence of Death and Resurrection of

Christ

Christianity is built upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Bible says,

“1CO 15:14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.”

Many people in the world do not believe in Christ.

Many even do not believe that Christ has ever died or resurrected.

There is a religion existing in the world today that adamantly declares in their religious book that Jesus never died nor resurrected.

That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they

killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full

of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed

him not:-

But the Bible says otherwise:

MT 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.

MT 16:22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “ God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.”

MT 16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”

2CO 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

2CO 4:4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The bible says without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we can not be forgiven and be saved.

Did Jesus really die and resurrect or not?

Did Jesus Die?

It was prophesied in the Old Testament

ISA 53:1 Who has believed our message?

And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

ISA 53:4

Surely our griefs He Himself bore,

And our sorrows He carried;

Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten of God, and afflicted.

ISA 53:5 But He was pierced

through for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our iniquities;

The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,

And by His scourging we are healed.

ISA 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

ISA 53:9 His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

ISA 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.

Yes.

Did Jesus Resurrect?

It was written

PS 16:8 I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

PS 16:10 For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

Jesus foretold His resurrection

JN 2:19 Jesus answered them, “ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

MT 20:17 As Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and on the way He said to them, MT 20:18 “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, MT 20:19 and will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.”

Many disciples and the apostles witnessed His

resurrection ICO 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 1CO 15:5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 1CO 15:6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;

Showed Himself in 40 days

ACT 1:3 To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.

MT 27:62 Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate, MT 27:63 and said, “Sir, we remember that when He was still alive that deceiver said, ‘ After three days I am to rise again.’ MT 27:64 “Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.” MT 27:65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how.” MT 27:66 And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.

What now if Jesus has died and resurrected from the dead?

His death brought forgiveness and life to us.

His resurrection brought victory and salvation to us.

1CO 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 1CO 15:14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 1CO 15:15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.

1CO 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;

1CO 15:17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

1CO 15:18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

1CO 15:19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

1CO 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. 1CO 15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 1CO 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so

also in Christ all will be made alive.
