to allow a suitable amount light into your eye.• Pupil -its an opening to allow light into your eye.• Lens -It focuses light to project an image into your

eye.• Retina -It acts as our screen and sensors pick up

information to send to the brain.• Optical nerve -think as wires that sends information

to our brain• Sclera - the sclera is the white, opaque portion of the

eye. It provides protection and serves as an attachment for the extraocular muscles which move the eye.

Nearsightedness -You have difficulty seeing far objects but can see things close up. Probably the most common vision problem. To fix this problem, you need wear diverging lenses to spread out that light more so you can see it more clearer

Far sightedness -You have difficulty seeing things up close but no problem seeing things far away. To fix this problem, you need wear converging lenses to make the light more focused

Vision Tests• 20/20 Vision: What you can see at 20 feet, the

average person can also see at 20 feet.• 20/200 Vision: what you can see at 20 feet, the

average person can see at 200 feet (very poor vision)

• 20/15 Vision: what you can see at 20 feet, the average person can see at 15 feet ( very good vision)

Other common vision problems

• Loss in accommodation -as you age, the lens in your eyes become less rigid.

• Astigmatism -is when your eye (lens or cornea) is not exactly a sphere or circular.

Other common vision problems

• Glaucoma -is nerve problem where there is a slight pain in your eye from watching too much tv or staring at a monitor. It cannot be repaired.

Other common vision problems

• Cataracts -it’s a white spot that develops in your eye due to aging.

• Loss in vision and vision is dimmed and lacks colour.

Other common vision problems• Vitreous Haemorrhaging -Bleeding in the eye

• Colour Blindness
