The Qatar University Foundation Program was first established in 2004 as a direct result of the educational reform initiated at QU.

All Qatar University students, except those registered in Sharia College and the Arabic Language Program must fulfill Foundation Program requirements before they can join their respective QU colleges and programs.

The goal of the Foundation Program is to prepare students to succeed in their subsequent undergraduate university studies by providing them with the necessary academic skills in English, Mathematics and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as mandated by Qatar University. It serves as a vital bridge between the students’ high school experience and their first encounter with higher education here at QU.
