The school keeps the core value of their logo: Tamso Ma Jyotirgamay and they take great pride in teaching Sanskrit. “I earnestly desire to train students to be sensi- tive to environmental con- cerns and imbibe in them a sense of nationalism. We are inculcating education for life, where the 21st century skills like critical thinking, prob- lemsolving, decision-making, social responsibility, citizen- ship etc are being developed to build character strength,” says Gaur. Assembly sessions in schools have mostly van- ished, however, Gaurs Inter- national School has initiated a daily assembly session, which begins with Gayatri Mantra, yoga and sessions that deliver social messages like – right to female educa- tion, eradication of child labour, healthy eating habits and respecting elders. “I want to propagate and inculcate sportsmanship spirit. So, in Gaurs Interna- tional School sports like shooting, boxing, cricket, football, table tennis, basket ball, badminton, lawn tennis, and skating has been made available in the school prem- ises,” says Gaur. Education is priceless,

didactic and liberating,

and nothing is better than it

being easily accessible.

Gaurs International School

aspires to be an institution

that pledges to give every

child an ideal environment

for education, and facilities

at par with global practices

of learning and mentoring.

“We ensure that each scholar

coming out of the Gaurs

Manju Gaur, director, Gaur-

International School. She

adds, “I dreamt of a school. A

neighbourhood school,

where children can walk or

a heart and a soul!”

During the planning of

the township, Gaur City, the

vision was to create a home,

and not merely a house. For

this, a sports complex for

recreation, a temple for wor-
