Post Specification

Postdoctoral Fellow (Ref. 18081514)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects – “Effectiveness of myopia

control using the dims lens in different myopic manifestations among Hong Kong Chinese” and

“A working model for ranking of optometry schools”. He/She will be required to:

(a) undertake eye examination for young children;

(b) assist in myopia control clinical trial research;

(c) perform optometric duties; and

(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a doctoral degree in Optometry or an equivalent qualification with no more than three

years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;

(b) have some research/relevant clinical experience in infant eye growth and myopia study;

(c) be registered with the Optometrists Board of the HKSAR; and

(d) have good communication skills.
