The major driving force behind my

taking up of this school project has

been the mixed experiences of a variety

of parents with regard to boarding

schools in the country and this gave

me an opportunity to closely examine

the many features of our existing

boarding school system.

What I observed was that most of the

schools, unfortunately were still

following a western pattern of

instruction in learning, extracurricular

activities and living. I strongly felt the

need for a customization in our school

system, reorienting it to indian culture

and traditions. Keeping this in view, we

have experimented in a small way and

initiated a few changes, which have

already started bearing fruits.

At The Indian Public School, we help

children tap into their hidden potential

by exposing them to diverse

opportunities. The broad based, liberal

education also helps them to rise

above parochial mindsets and acquire a

truly international outlook. In addition

to this, children are trained to learn

more by doing things themselves and

trying out new ideas, taking failure and

success in their stride, with all their

energies focused on honest and

purposeful effort.

We, as management, have taken

innovative initiatives to set up a dairy

farm, fruit orchards, vegetable gardens,

compost making units, beekeeping

stations and horticultural facilities as

spare time activities within school

premises.

I have every hope and belief that

kind in this part of the world, amply

fulfilling the educational aspirations of

the parents who bring their children to

The ambience and the pristine surroundings of The

Indian Public School are extremely conducive for

learning and a healthy stay. But the infrastructure is

only the body part of the residential school. The soul is

the relationship between teachers and students and

the bond they develop. We give equal importance to

both of them. We ask students to compete with

themselves for their natural growth.

It is our endeavour to transform students in such a

own, The Indian Public School, is home to a mix of 250

boys and girls aged between 5–18 years. They are split up

into four groups, or Houses, thereby inducing a sense of

competition that lasts a lifetime. It has enviable

as its core value, that has been established by our

levels of cricketing. He left in 2010 to pursue cricket as
