My Dear Professional colleagues,

Hope this communication will find

you in pink of Health and Spirit. I

believe that everybody must be

eagerly waiting for the joyous

festival, “Durga Puja, a festival,

symbol of “love” and success of

“Justice over Evils”. The festive

season is around the corner, and

we, at EIRC, pray to almighty may

continue to grant us wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. At the same time let

us always remember that “God helps those who help themselves”

Our Institute is a creation of statute. We derive our strength from it and discharge

the responsibilities placed on our shoulders by numerous regulators and tax

authorities. The period July to September is watertight for every CA whether in

practice or in service. The task of finalizing a balance sheet, filing tax returns etc.

happens during this period. Inspite of all, we have lived up to the expectation

of the authorities concerned and will continue to do so as we always believe in

the adage “Institution above Self”. Let’s prove our worth as an indispensable

“complete business solution provider” of the modern day business.

Taking this platform let me give account of some important programmes

already undertaken and lined up in this month. 1st time EIRC have celebrated

the Teachers’ Day in the Institute to highlight the importance of the sweet

relationship of the Principal and his articles and a Debate completion was also

arranged. A mega event, Full Day programme on the topic, GST is lined up on

4th November 2016. It is beyond doubt, that the topic needs proper study,

discussion and keeping abreast of the developments taking place every day in the

Parliament and the Ministry of Finance by all of us in the fraternity. I request all

to come and attend in large numbers and make it a huge success at Kalamandir.

We are also putting our best for starting the coaching classes for IPCC and

Final shortly and same will be commencing soon. This endeavor is energizing

for all which involves, screening of suitable faculties, designing classes as per

curriculum and also keeping in mind to avoid any business mind or vested

interests by anyone.

EIRC would also like to inform our esteemed members that the Govt. authorities

have already initiated the process of allotment of audit of schools, colleges and

Madrasa institutions. The authorities have also requested our officials to be

present during the process of lottery and very soon the results would be made

available by them.

I could not resist but to mention about the recent turmoil our countrymen

specially the armed forces must be facing about the sprucing up of the terror

attacks which have taken place in Srinagar and Pathankot extending up to the

valley. News pouring in about militants coming across the border and creating

mayhem. It is a shock and very sad to hear about the innumerable loss of human

lives of our fellow countrymen. This is the time we should forget all our difference

whatever shape and size it may be and all join hands to strongly condemn against

this dastardly act and try and extend our help to mitigate and solve this grave

issue.

Before I sign off, may I draw your attention to the fact that our Institute have

taken a firm stand for ethics and against unethical acts, as we believe that our

profession can show a ray of belief and hope to our society. We need to take

control of our destiny through our acts. Let us take an oath to trade the path of

ethics and be sincerer, loyal while leaving examples worth following by other

members of the society. Lastly let me put in records that I am extremely fortunate

to be assisted by all my team members in the Regional Council and also guided

by all my esteemed Council Members, ICAI from this Region, who are constantly

behind me to support all the initiatives and endeavor planned and contemplated

and accomplished till date. Let me reproduce a famous saying by “Patrick

Lenciani”- Trust is in knowing that when a team member does push you,

they are doing it because they care about the team”.

Wish you a very Happy Dussehra and Happy Deepawali in advance.

Let’s touch base ….. today, tomorrow and forever !!!

CA Anirban DattaChairman, EIRC of ICAI

EICASA

My Dear Student Friends,

If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you’ll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards rightly said by Paul Bryant. As you may be aware, CA education is undergoing a rapid transformation and at ICAI we are in the final stage of implementing a new scheme of education and training with an

objective to prepare more competent, better equipped and more responsible generation of Chartered Accountants. Nelson Mandela said: Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. This new course curriculum has been designed to benchmark the Indian CA education with the best in the world and make our students more competent professionals and enablers of compliance and fiscal discipline.

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

We have already started regular CPT Coaching classes at EIRC, and we are also coming up with IPCC Coaching classes at EIRC from 1st November. EICASA is

CA Manish GoyalChairman EICASA and Vice Chairman EIRC of ICAI

also organizing amendment and revision classes on all subjects for CA Final students. Keeping in mind the new scheme of education, we also intend to organize special workshops on Goods and Service Tax, application of Ind-AS in India, programme on Finnacle, Advance Excel, and Workshop on return filing very soon. My best wishes to the students who are appearing for the November examinations.

EICASA is also planning an Industrial visit for the students of Chartered Accountancy to Reserve Bank of India in the month of October to enable them to understand the working of the Central Bank of India. The Students will also gain a deep insight into the organisational setup & functioning of the Supreme Banking Institution of the Country. We also have on the cards the celebration of International Commerce Day on 10th November.

Let us make our future now, and let us make our dreams tomorrow’s reality.

Be Happy and keep smiling.
