The Jack Arpajian Armenian Scholarship Foundation
Jack Arpajian was born on June 20, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was active in the Armenian community throughout his life and had a great love of his heritage. Jack Graduated from Kent State University with a degree in business administration. He became a very successful entrepreneur and upon his death in 1993, willed most of his estate for the purpose of providing a college education to students of Armenian descent who are high achievers, active in the Armenian community and have financial need.
Scholarship Information
The Jack Arpajian Armenian Educational Foundation was established to assist qualified Armenian students in funding a 4 year undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university within the United States. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $3,000 per semester per recipient and continue for a maximum of 4 consecutive years, as long as the applicant continues to meet the scholarship qualifications.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the scholarship the applicant must meet the following criteria:
*Be at least one quarter Armenian descent *Have a grade point average of at least 3.0
*Prove financial need *Be a full-time student, as defined by his or her college
In order to remain eligible, recipients must meet the above
qualifications throughout their undergraduate career.
