Can you please tell me 1.For fall and winter, will 1 st time testers take the old NGSSS Alg 1 and Geom since the new one will not be ready? Even though the Fall and Winter EOC administrations essentially become retake opportunities as we transition to the new Florida Standards assessments, first-time test-takers (e.g., block schedule students) WILL be able to participate in the 2014 Fall and/or Winter Algebra 1 or Geometry EOCs until the new assessments become available in spring 2015. (KS: Consider implications of standards being tested) 2.For Spring and Summer, has the Geom Retake been phased out? The NGSSS Geom test is being phased out after Winter 2014. a)If so, will students repeating Geom for credit retrieval (full year) who will take the EOC again to count as 30% have to take the new EOC? Yes. There will be a linked score to the NGSSS test. 3.Students will need to take the new Alg 1, Geom, and Alg 2 over the summer as first time testers. Are those tests off the schedule for a reason? A summer 2015 administration is not in the contract with AIR. The next will be Fall 2015, and there will be summer administrations moving forward.

Slide 5

5 NEW

Slide 6

6

Slide 7

THE NEW FSA The Online Portal Dr. Karen Schafer Brevard Public Schools July, 2014

Slide 8

PURPOSE OF THE FSA ONLINE PORTAL To serve as the primary location for school and district administrators to access resources for test administration and to conduct activities related to computer-based testing, test management and reporting www.fsassessments.org 8

Slide 9

RESOURCES Previously released items (under Resources): 9

Slide 10

10

Slide 11

11

Slide 12

NEWLY RELEASED RESOURCES TRAINING TESTS Designed to help students, parents and teachers become familiar with assessment question formats and the computer-based test (CBT) delivery system The purpose of these training tests is to become familiar with the system, functionality, and item types; the tests are not intended to guide classroom instruction. 12

Slide 13

NEWLY RELEASED RESOURCES TRAINING TEST USER GUIDE 13

Slide 14

NEWLY RELEASED RESOURCES ABOUT THE TRAINING TESTS Released training tests are designed to familiarize students and teachers with the computer-based testing environment.
