The act of hesitating; a delay due to uncertainty of mind or fear.
She had little hesitation when she preformed on stage for the first time.
Hesitation
Disinclined or indisposed to believe; indicating or showing unbelief.
She is almost incredulous at how her circumstances have changed.
Incredulous
Cooly unconcerned, indifferent, unexcited, or casual.
His heart pounded in his chest, as he tried to look nonchalant.
Nonchalantly
Defying or resisting some established authority.
Most kids are rebellious.
Rebellious
The estimation in which a person or thing is held.
The restaurant has a good reputation.
Reputation
The action, position, or relation of a person or thing is held.
There is a rivalry between Yale and Harvard.
Rivalry
A sharply ironical taunt. When giving feedback avoid sarcasm or
highly negative remarks.
Sarcasm
Feeling sympathy, compassionate. I am a sympathetic listener.
Sympathetic
Difficult or impossible to understand. We were amazed at the unfathomable
depth of the ocean.
