A H I S T O R Y O F I N N O V A T I O N

Established in 1904 by Edward Davies, Arthur Reynolds and

Francis Ritchie, a trio of industry experts, the Wandsworth

name has long been synonymous with exceptional design and

matchless technical innovation. The company has long flown

the flag for British manufacturing.

Each of our collections and products is perfected with more

than a century of design finesse and manufacturing distinction.

We began registering patents for our beautiful, functional

products in the early 1900s. Our electrical accessories have

been used to enhance interiors and architectural wonders

around the world ever since.

Our spirit and remarkable skills have endured two world

wars and an incendiary bomb blast. Wandsworth has

grown and relocated six times, including moving from

Birmingham to our current home in Sheerwater, Surrey, in

1952. Throughout it all, we have retained our passion for

British innovation, technical excellence and craftsmanship.

These values continue to inspire us today.

safe and easy to replace. Our retained fuse carrier

stays in place during a fuse change. Our double

pole switches include a contact gap for isolation so

The Penthouse collection’s range

of switch plates uses a hidden

clip-in style, attaching securely to

the rear mounted grid. Earthing

of the front plate is by means

of a scraping earth fitted to the

adjustable grid.

* Due to design, the fitting of two of these units adjacent to one

another is not possible in the following plates/grids: P402/G402

The range has been cleverly designed to allow bespoke outlet

arrangement without the need for a specially designed custom unit.

For example Data and BT or Co Axial and Satellite outlets can

be matched together using our existing grids and switch plates.

Switch interiors (Patent 2185632) comply with BSEN60669-1 and

are fully tested to their rated capacity for both inductive and

fluorescent loads. The double insulated Series 2 switch has been

independently tested by ASTA for 250V 20AX rating (certificate

number 16240). The push-to-make/push-to-break retractive

switch (catalogue numbers 15 & 17) is rated at 250V 6amps.

The switch body is a glass reinforced polyester moulding.

The rockers manufactured from brass match the cover plate

finish. Brass terminals are pillar screw type with silver switch

contacts and 3mm contact gap. Angled terminal screws

make connection easier. Palace toggle switches comply with

BSEN60669-1 and are fully tested to their rated capacity,

250V 20AX AC for both inductive and fluorescent loads.

The switches are independently tested by ASTA, (certificate

number 16240). The bell push (catalogue number 95) is rated

at 250V 4amps AC.

Fused connection units

Switched fused connection units have a double pole switch that

has a 3mm contact gap for isolation. The units have a retained fuse

carrier that is not removed during fuse replacement.

2 aMp & 5 aMp

2amp and 5amp socket outlets are designed to BS 546.

13 aMp

Switched socket outlets have double insulated rockers. All units

will fit metal boxes to BS4662 with a minimum depth of 35mm.

All 13amp socket outlets comply with BS1363.

45 aMp douBle pole switch

Double pole cooker switch complies with BSEN 60669.
