THE PROCESS

Colourlaque is a permanent colour fixing processfor glass. This process is unique to the glassindustry. By using Specialist paints and additionaladditives the paint bonds to the rear surface of theglass. Once the colour treatment has fused to thesurface of the glass it forms an impervious anddurable surface. This process can be applied tovarious glass surfaces, heat treated, laminated,toughened or specialist glass with raised patternsand etch glass designs.

Colourlaque can be processed like any other glass.It can be made to any manageable size and can bedrilled with holes to suit what is required, polishedand bevelled edges, cut-outs for electrical sockets,light inserts, sinks, taps, drainer grooves, and canbe cut to shapes and templates. Once the processwork has been completed it then goes through thetoughened process cycle to achieve the safetycode of practice and conform to BS 6206 and EN12600 Class A safety impact.

The Colourlaque process can be applied tovarious glasses and process procedures.

Colourlaque is unique to all other coloured glasspanelling on the market as it conforms to thehighest code of safety practice, BS 6206 and EN12600 Class A Code of Practice for safety impact.

DURABILITY ANDRESISTANCE

The special composition of the paint and the crosslinker makes colourlaque ideal for rooms with highhumidity content such as kitchens, bathrooms,indoor pools and spa areas. The durability of glass,as it is water proof and easy to clean and doesn’tharbour germs or bacteria as well as offeringstructural strength, can not be understated.Colourlaque requires low maintenance andcleaning and out lasts most current architecturalproducts and will look as impressive as the day itwas fitted when twenty years or more have
