The Statue Of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is in New York City on Liberty Island the Statue is placed in the entrance of New York Harbor and upper to New York Bay.

Construction started in 1875 and the Statue Of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

Gustave Eiffel, the French engineer who later built the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, designed the structural framework that supports the copper covering.

The Statue of Liberty stands 151 feet tall.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift of the French Government to the United States to honor ideas of freedom.
