According to Unicef, because of poverty, abandonment, death of
parents, criminal activity, divorce and childhood illnesses, there
are over 1,000,000 orphans in Vietnam right now. The Orphans of

Most of these orphans end up on the streets where they often
work as street peddlers, beggars or in orphanages where conditions
of life are poor and unsafe. The Orphans of Vietnam

They usually are hungry for love, attention, and affection. They
often experience isolation, desperation, loneliness, and a sense of

They usually end up on the streets or in orphanages

Their meals usually lack of nutrition.

There are few caretakers for the children.

They are often under nourished.

The orphanages are often over crowded.

They often experience poor confidence and low self-esteem. These
experiences may push them into a future on the streets.

Yet, they are innocent, beautiful, and precious. They deserve
all the love, attention, and a decent life just like any other
children.
