The Sabbath Practice Use this day as rest for your body. God wants his loved ones to get their proper rest. Psalm 127:2 Use this day to restore your soul. My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. Psalm 62:1 Use this day to repair your home. Only someone too stupid to find his way home would wear himself out with work. Ecclesiastes 10:15 Use this day to reflect upon the heart. As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. Proverbs 27:19 Use this day to renew your spirit. Create in me a pure heart O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Psalm 51:10 Use this day to realign your values. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together… Instead let us encourage one another… Hebrews 10:25 Remember that you slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God brought out under his mighty hand… therefore the lord commands you remember the Sabbath. Deuteronomy 5:15 Use this day to refocus your life. “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his own soul?” Mark 8:36
