I have worked at The Trails Recreation Center for 9years. I have worked in the nursery, taught artclasses, and now I am the Cultural Arts Supervisor.Over the years I have spoken so highly about howmuch I like working for The Trails, that now mymother and oldest daughter work here as well!

I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with anemphasis in Computer Imaging. I feel that art doesnot have to be at odds with technology. All peoplewill benefit in their academic learning if they alsoround out their mind with the arts.

I have a wonderful husband and three children. Iwouldn’t trade my family for the world! I am alsoactive in working with the youth program at mychurch. I have a passion for people and desire tohelp them achieve their goals.

Friends of the Arapahoe Park and Recreation District, 501(c)(3)

There has been interest in starting a Friends of the Arapahoe Park and Recreation District (APRD) and the Park Districtwould like to help foster and organize that interest.

A “Friends of” or 501(c)(3), is a United States non-profit organization that has been approved by the IRS to be tax-exempt under the terms of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Most charitable non-profits in the UnitedStates that Americans commonly know of, and often make donations to, are 501(c)(3) organizations. Such anorganization can solicit and receive charitable contributions and grants with donors being eligible to receive adeduction for federal income tax purposes. The organization can then distribute the donated funds to collaborativepartners to enhance certain programs, open spaces, trails or parks.

Interested persons would help in finding other interested persons to create the governing documents of theorganization and to serve on a board overseeing the organization. If you, or someone you know, may be interested inhelping to form this valuable organization, please contact the Arapahoe Park and Recreation District, Board ofDirectors, in writing to 16799 E. Lake Ave, Centennial, CO 80016 or via [email protected]
