    Ghassan Abdul‐Jabbar has taught and studied hadith in schools and universities in Pakistan for over 25 years. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and has studied in classical mosque‐schools in Pakistan. His previous research has focused on the hadith expert Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿıl̄ al‐Bukhārı ̄and the history of the development
