To analyze the potential of grain sorghum, sweet sorghum and switchgrass for ethanol production in the Texas Panhandle by using three alternative ethanol processing methodologies:

1. Starch based ethanol

2. Sugar based ethanol

• Production of ethanol from grain sorghum, sweet sorghum, and switchgrass is not economically feasible in the Texas Panhandle Region
