President of the United States. He contributed in expanding the
economy, land, maintaining peace, and building our nation into a
world power, as it is known today. Jefferson had a careful plan and
was a man that made wise decisions to maintain prosperity in
America. He served as president from the year 1801-1809.

out a small fleet to negotiate with the Barbary coast and was
captured, costing the government $60,000. ( Philadelphia ) In 1805,
Jefferson signed a treaty that ended the Barbary War. The
