Fundraising Update & Housekeeping
Mission Fuel
Our fall season team is
still moving the needle
with a fundraising
total of $24,581 this
week! Our 14 Flex
participants have
raised over $20,000!
Disney is continuing to
raise more and more,
with $6,330 in the
bank!
***Adirondack ½
Marathon paperwork
is due TOMORROW
Friday, August 23rd. It
is extremely important
I get this paperwork to
register you for the
race.
If anyone would like
winter season
brochures to display
anywhere in the
community, please let
me know!
I hope everyone has a

When we think fundraising
we automatically think…
Great now I need to ask my
friends to donate money.
Well not exactly! As a TNT
volunteer we raise more
than money. We mission
fuel and give hope to
patients and family.
Its time that we get focused
on Mission Fuel and not
fundraising! Mission Fuel is
a charitable donation given
to a non-profit organization
that adds value to the
organizations mission and
transforms donors and
volunteers into mission
leaders.
Since 1988, Team in
Training has raised over 1.3
billion dollars in Mission
Fuel. The funds collect
empower research
scientists to discover cures
and provide resources to
patients in need. Most
importantly, the donation
given to a TNT volunteer
also connects millions of
people to our lifesaving
mission. The value of this
work is immeasurable.

meetings, this will be for
Aug 28- Sportshoe Center, Burlington, 7pm
Sep 4- Crossings of Colonie, 5:30pm (also kick-off!)
Sep 5- Greater Burlington YMCA, 5:30pm (also kick-off!)

**NEW** Street Team Currently recruiting individuals to help us promote TNT at various events. Children, community groups, teams, all are welcome. You do not need to be a TNT “buff” to help with this marketing campaign!
Great opportunity for groups or students that need volunteer hours! Friday, September 6
th,
5pm, at TEC Smart: Malta BPA 5k. We need a couple of volunteers to help put TNT brochures in the race
packets the evening before the race. Sunday, September 1
st,
Scottish Games, Altamont Fairgrounds. 9:30am-12pm. Again, just need volunteers at an info table!

Peak Season and Seagull teammate, Linda Sweeney is looking for used books that are in good condition. She is partnering with Hannaford for an ongoing book sale. They’ll sell whatever she can get stocked! Please contact [email protected] for more info!
Peak Season, and Seagull teammate, Linda Sweeney is holding a raffle for one free night at the Courtyard by Marriot in Middlebury VT, $20 towards a meal at the hotel bistro as well as a $50 gift certificate to Fire and Ice Restaurant. See attached flyer for details.
Capital Region
Nation’s Tri teammate, Sarah Fassett is holding a raffle. The raffle is for a 3 or 4 night Norwegian Cruise for two of her donors. $25 donation per entry. $50 donation gets three entries. Disney teammate, Bill, is hosting an ice skating fundraiser at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center! Great for the entire family! Contact him at [email protected] to purchase tickets! Flyer is attached.
Disney teammates, Maria and Nicole, are having a fundraiser at Red Robin in Latham on Tuesday, August 27th from 4-9PM. Anyone who brings the flyer will have 15% of their sales go to them. Flyer attached!

Disney Teammate, Holly Garofano is hosting a Dodgeball tournament! Get a team together and check out the
attached flyer for details!
Disney Teammate, Alexa Veeder and family, are hosting the 2nd annual Veeder Tree Farm 5k run. The race will be held on 10/20 at 10AM. Registration is $25 in advance and $30 day of. Everyone will receive a medal for finishing! There will be a bonfire, tailgating, music and more! You will also get a special discount on Christmas trees! Marine Corps teammates, Kate & Charly, better known as “Team Sole Sisters” are holding a used shoe-drive.
They will receive $.50 per pound of shoes that they collect. Shoes can be dropped off at the office on Wolf Rd., The Orchard Tavern, the JCC, or Berkshire Bank on Vly road. Or you can bring them to the training run. If your employer will allow you to have a collection box at your office or if you know of anywhere that would take one, let them know. They will deliver and pick-up the boxes! If none of these drop of times or locations work please reach out to Charly. Any questions please contact Charly at [email protected].

Disney Teammate Wendy Colonno is holding ANOTHER virtual race to raise money for LLS. Want some awesome bling?? Adirondack Teammate Linda Gallagher will donate 20% of all sales when you host a Tastefully Simple tasting party or catalog party in May.
