Complete an application for IAPMO Personnel Certi� cation based on NCPCCI

examinations and submit it along with a copy of your passing score report and the

applicable fee. The application is available at http://www.iapmo.org/Pages/Get Certi� ed.aspx. (Score reports documenting eligibility must be less than 3 years old.)

Receive an IAPMO Certi� cate and wallet card after completing the certi� cation

application process.

Why Turn to IAPMO?

On December 31, 2008 the six-year long agreement between the

National Certi� cation Program for Construction Code Inspectors

(NCPCCI) and the International Code Council (ICC) expires. This

means that the ICC will no longer accept NCPCCI score reports for

ICC certi� cation of code inspectors, plans examiners, and code o� cials.

Upon expiration of the existing agreement, IAPMO will issue national

certi� cations based on the NCPCCI examinations. In the interest of

the thousands of individuals who hold NCPCCI examination score

reports and who continue to test with NCPCCI, IAPMO devoted this

past year to preparing to certify NCPCCI test takers in all disciplines.

IAPMO’s President Bob Siemsen expressed that “IAPMO is an

advocate of all disciplines in the code administration profession and

takes its responsibility seriously in o� ering personnel certi� cation as a contributing partner in the NCPCCI.”

Professionals seeking personnel certi� cation do not need to be members of IAPMO to obtain a

certi� cation from IAPMO. Certi� cations issued under this program are based on the International Codes

as well as certain other codes identi� ed in the NCPCCI Candidate Bulletin at www.prometric.com/ncpcci.
