Andeer Granit bildet zurHauptsache die Gebirgsgruppedes Piz Suretta. Primäre Gesteinedes Stockes dürften vor 350 Mio.Jahren porphyrische Granitegewesen sein. Heute liegen sie,durch die Alpenbildung verändert,als Orthogneise vor.

Die grüne Farbe beruht auferheblichem Gehalt an grünemGlimmer (Phengit). Dieser ist sehrwetterbeständig und lichtecht.

Unser Gestein behält bei allengängigenOberflächenbearbeitung en dentypischen grünen Farbton bei.

The mountainous group of PizSuretta is essentially made upof Andeer Granite. Some 350Million years ago, the first rocksof this material oiginated fromporphyitic granites. Tod ay,following the morphologicalchanges that have taken placein the Alps, they oiginate fromOrthogneis.

The green color is due to thehigh corlcentration of greenmica (Phengite), which makes itertremely resrsfant to UV rays.

Our material retains its typicalgreen color throughout themosf com m on processing.
