Welcome to HollandOn March 22, we will be performing in six unique concerts. Many of the concerts will be held in beautiful old churches. !ese concerts are organized by the OneDay Foundation. !is informational "yer will give you more details about the trip. Please be aware that some details are subject to change. Upon arrival we will receive our #nal tour schedule.

ThursdayDeparture from Toronto airport

FridayArrival at Amsterdam Airport will be approximately 7 AM local time. We will enjoy a luxurious breakfast bu%et and some strong Dutch co%ee. A$er that you will travel by bus to the four star VanderValk Hotel in Nieuwerkerk aan de IJssel were you can check in and relax till noon.

Around noon, the bus will bring you to the old city of Del$ were you explore, do some shopping or visit museums . At 4 PM we will rehearse in the Old Church followed by a light supper. At 8 pm our #rst concert will begin. We will be participating in this concert with Het Groot Nederlands Jongerenkoor, the youth choir from the OneDay Foundation and with Cantiamo Ladies, a new initiative of Jacco and Elsa van Delden! !is will be the #rst public performance!

Because of the time di%erence and the long day we will sing four or #ve pieces and leave during the in-termission. We will be back in the Hotel at approximately 10 PM.

SaturdayA$er breakfast we will go on a bus tour to see the famous Dutch Windmills (Kinderdijk). !en we travel to the famous “cheese”city, Gouda. At 1 pm we will check out at the hotel. A$er a warm lunch we will depart to Rotterdam which we will explore by bus. At 4 pm we will arrive at a small but very old church—the Pelgrimsvaderskerk. First we will receive a very interesting short tour and a$er that the rehearsal will begin. Dinner will be served in the church. !e concert will start at 8 PM. In this concert we will be singing together with Cantiamo Ladies. !ey will sing #ve or six songs, and the rest of the evening “the "oor is ours”.

A$er this concert you will go home with friends or family and stay with them for the weekend. If you do not have family or friends to go to, the OneDay Foundation will #nd a Dutch guest house for you.

MondayAt 2 PM you can check in at the VanderValk Hotel in Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel. In the a$ernoon we will have time to relax and catch up with each other. At 4 pm we will enjoy an early dinner in the hotel and depart to Woerden were we will sing at our third exciting concert with Cantiamo Ladies in the beautiful church, the Bonaventure kerk.

TuesdayIn the morning we are checking out of the hotel and will be on our way to !e Hague.

We will visit the world famous Binnenhof, the hometown of the Dutch government. You can walk around yourselves to see the sights in this old town. !e shopping is fabulous!

By bus we will discover some other parts of this area, like Scheveningen (the beach) and Wassenaar (where the queen lives). At the end of the day will check in at the VanderValk Hotel in Apeldoorn

WednesdayA$er a bus tour through some typical Dutch villages in the area, we will travel to Palace ‘t Loo. At the end of the a$ernoon we will arrive at the small church of Vaassen where we will perform. A meditation will be held by one of the speakers of the OneDay Foundation. Lisanne Leeuwenkamp will sing with us and maybe one or two other soloists from Holland.

ThursdayA visit to the Netherlands is not complete without a visit to Urk. Today is that day. You will be able to see some of the small streets and meet with people still wearing clothes from the “old times”. Of course we need to taste the main product of Urk: #sh!

In the evening we will sing at one of the many churches of Urk, the Rehoboth Church. We will be per-forming with some soloists from Holland.

FridayAMSTERDAM here we come! !is will be an exciting day. We will check out early to see this city with its many di%erent faces. We will discover downtown Amsterdam by bus, but we will also take a boat tour through the famous canals. We will also visit the Anne Frank house.

You will have plenty of time to explore Amsterdam yourselves and go shopping.

We are scheduled to be in Amersfoort at 6pm, where we will sing for the sixth and last time! We will per-form with Het Groot Nederlands Jongerenkoor and Cantiamo Ladies. !e St. Joriskerk, where the con-cert will be held, was completely renovated in 2011 and it is a fantastic location to end this musical tour!

SaturdayA$er breakfast we will check out and depart to Schiphol. We will arrive at home in Toronto at approxi-mately 4pm the same day!

Musica Sacra Chorus is made up of some 50 voices under the direction of Johann Van Ittersum. With the chorus’ pianist, Stephanie MacDonald, and organist, James van den Brink, it works to make magni#cent music to God’s glory. Most singers live in the area of Woodstock, Ontario, and its surrounding town and villages. MSC performs a wide variety of repertoire, ranging from psalm settings, sacred anthems and oratorios, and spirituals. !e chorus practices weekly from September through May at Norwich United Church and performs in its neighbouring communities and beyond. !e chorus is excited about this Holland Tour!
