Atatürk Airport (European side) & Sabiha Gökçen Airport (Asian side): In addition to public transportation, taxis, hotel shuttle services and car rentals, there is also an efficient bus company called Havataş that provides airport transport every half hour to / from Taksim and Kadıköy. Their buses also link each ferryboat from Yenikapı with Atatürk Airport.

Istanbul has a wide and busy public transport network including metro, tram, buses, shared taxi and ferries. It is highly advisable that you buy an IstanbulKart ( 6 TL) and load credit onto the card instead of buying tokens for every journey.

The metro / underground system has separate routes between Hacıosman - Yenikapı, Aksaray - Atatürk Airport and Kadıköy - Kartal. You can reach important centers of the city by metro easily.

The tram offers an alternative route between Kabataş - Bağcılar linking you with many tourist attractions.
