Azobe is supplied directly from TRC in Cameroun, a company specialised in timbers for marine constructions. delivery time is 10-15 weeks depending on volume and season.

TRC manages 225.000 ha of forest of which 100.000 ha is presently fsC certified and the rest is Olb certified. faster delivery from landed stock in Europe is also possible.

pRoduCT infoRMATionAbiurana piles has a density, durability and strength on the same level as greenheart. Years of experience from the baltic sea shows resistance against teredo navalis at least as good as greenheart.

Abiurana is the best fsC certified alternative to uncertified greenheart.

iron gum is a lighter but very stiff pile. Research shows good resistance in the heartwood against teredo navalis. since it is a plantation tree the percentage of sapwood is relatively high.

Abiurana is shipped directly from brazil in about 10 weeks. iron gum is also suplied from landed in stock in Europe.

With this treatment major surface checks and cracks are avoided as well as attack of fungi. The Robinia can this condition be utilised in its natural form requiring a minimum of maintenance.

Robinia is supplied directly from Hungary in full truck loads. delivery time is 5-7 weeks depending on the season.

sawn timber for combination with Robinia is supplied in Alaska yellow cedar or a variety of tropical hardwoods such as Mandioquiera.

fsC (puRE) oG fsC (MiXEd)The forest stewardship Councils certificate is the strongest certificate in the market, both when it comes to having the highest standards and in size as a single certificate. The fsC certificate is international and gives full and verified documentation of legality and sustainability. fsC is certified by an independent 3rd party (auditors).

CHAin of CusTodYThe CoC certificate ensures traceability. All producers and traders of fsC products must have a CoC certificate and accompany their products with a fsC code etc. sW-CoC-02493 and a fsC Claim. The certificates can be verified at www.fsc-info.org

Please be aware that it is not enough that and importer is CoC certified. Their products must specifically be offered, labelled and invoiced as fsC certified with a fsC claim. fsC suppliers must have a publicly available and verified list of products which can be supplied fsC certified. it may sound strange but a number of companies is marketing their CoC certificate but are in fact not capable of supplying fsC products.

With the fsC certificate the products are living up to the guidelines for public procurement of timber products used in most European countries, including uK, denmark, germany and Holland.

olb And Vlo These certificates are proof of legal origin (and only legal origin). both must be verified by an independent 3rd party to be valid and must be accompanied by a CoC certificate.

Most European public procurement policies require additional documentation for a sustainable forest management.

inVAlid doCuMEnTATion

some traders and importers submit papers for legality and sustainability which is not valid as proper documentation. Either they are not based on approved standards or they are not verified by and independent 3rd party.

Examples of such invalid documentation that will not meet proper guidelines for public procurement are:

ibAMA/GuiA floREsTAldocumentation from ibAMA (brazil) and guia florestal is only proof of permission to transport and export. They cannot be used or verified as documentation for legal origin, not even if they appear to be verified by sCs or sgs. guia florestal is working towards proof of legality.

GuYAnA foREsT CoMMission sTATEMEnTguyana forest Commission statemen, seen mostly with shipments of greenheart piles cannot be used as documentation for legality. it is not verified by an independent 3rd party.
