LEARN ALONGSIDE THE LEADERS OF YOUR FIELD
Our world-class Steinbright Career Development Center offers one
of the nation’s leading cooperative education programs. Through
Drexel Co-op, you can explore career possibilities while earning up to
18 months of professional work experience — all before graduation.
Depending on your major and projected academic calendar, you
can choose to participate in one, two, or three six-month co-ops and
alternate periods of classroom study and full-time employment.
Our co-op program partners with more than 1,650 employers to offer
positions in 28 states and 36 countries, providing the opportunity
to work with companies such as Google, The Children’s Hospital of
Philadelphia, and Vanguard Group, as well as startups, nonprofits,
teaching hospitals, and governmental organizations. Going on co-op
allows you to build an impressive résumé while test-driving your career
and will give you a clear understanding of what you want to do and what
you don’t want to do. You’ll also develop a real-world perspective that
you can share with your professors and classmates when you return.
Even better, the majority of these experiences are full-time and paid
and those that are carry a median six-month salary of over $19,000.
In addition to guiding you through co-op, Steinbright’s team of
counselors and advisors will be here to assist in all aspects of your
career development, including building essential interviewing skills,
workplace success strategies, professional networks, and more.

DISCOVER INSPIRATION IN A CITY AS UNIQUE AS YOU ARE
Since our founding in 1891, Drexel has been proud to call
Philadelphia our home. This is a revolutionary town built on
revolutionary thinking. Philly is the nation’s sixth largest city,
recognized as an international landmark and a vibrant hub of
history, industry, culture, and education.
At Drexel, we embrace Philadelphia and use it as our
extended campus. Our location presents a wealth of
opportunities, from its museums, theaters, and vocational
hubs to its signature cuisine, athletic events, and nightlife.
A cosmopolitan city composed of quaint neighborhoods,
our convenient location puts us within walking distance of,
or only a short train ride from, everything the region has to
offer. We’re also only blocks away from 30th Street Station, a
major transportation hub with access to regional trains and
Amtrak, putting New York, Washington, D.C., Baltimore,
and all of the East Coast’s other major destinations within
easy reach.

YOUR NEXT STEPS
PREPARE
If you’re considering transferring to Drexel, here are the steps you should start to begin your transition:
• Transfer Admission Requirements: Drexel considers a number of criteria when determining admission.
You must disclose on your application and subsequently submit official transcripts for every collegiate institution you have attended. If you have fewer than 24 college credits, Drexel may ask for more materials, which could include high school transcripts and test scores. You have the option to opt in to our Test Optional policy.Admission prerequisites for specific programs can be found at drexel.edu/undergrad/apply/prereqs.
• Additional Transfer Requirements: Students whose first language is not English are required
to submit TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE results unless they have successfully completed English Composition I and II at a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher education. For more information regarding English language requirements and possible additional waivers, visit drexel.edu/undergrad/apply/transfer.
• Credit Transfer: Drexel may grant credit for courses taken at other regionally
accredited college-level institutions if we deem that they are substantially equivalent to courses in the corresponding curriculum at Drexel. Your academic department will create your official transfer credit evaluation document shortly after you have been admitted. Detailed information about the credit transfer process can be found at drexel.edu/undergrad/transfer/credits.
To learn more about degree requirements, visit the Drexel University Catalog at catalog.drexel.edu.
• Military Benefits: Drexel offers a variety of education benefit programs
to veterans and members of the military and their families, including the Yellow Ribbon Program. Visit drexel.edu/undergrad/veterans to learn more.
FINANCIAL AID
Drexel offers competitive financial aid opportunities for transfer applicants, including transfer-specific scholarships. The average scholarship and grant aid offered to full-time undergraduate transfer students seeking their first degree and entering in fall 2020 was $26,573, including all federal, state, and institutional aid. While you will be reviewed for scholarships during the admissions review process, we highly recommend filing the CSS Profile and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible to maximize your eligibility for support.
